  1. You’re about to see the Rays for the tenth time by May 1. That’s obscene.
  2. Btw, our first two months in terms of opponents is pretty brutal, but our post ASB schedule is very favorable. Sox better take a huge lead into July or they’ll be caught
  3. UN, when did you move away?
  4. It’s what Sterling calls him. We do own the twins. If we don’t pound their starters, we run them out and eat their pen alive. When the twins had been playoff contenders, their offense was typically the reason why and they haven’t had truly lockdown pitching. Yesterday, their starter shut us down. The good thing about this streak is that Stanton is starting to show signs of life and Sanchez is breaking out. If we can ride those guys for a bit as Judge and Didi invariably catch their breath, we should be good. I’m intrigued to see if Gray finds it. He’s a control pitcher who cannot seem to locate right now. He’s either out of the zone or in the middle of the zone. If he finds it, we will be running off many long win streaks with how our offense and pen are built
  5. Joe Torre was getting his metamucil
  6. How do you not turn that over?
  7. How bout the Sanchino. Walk off bomb. Love this right now
  8. Gray still struggling. The offense is killing it. The late signees like Lynn and Cobb are really struggling
  9. No, it’s not. Running is situational. With two outs and a tie game while the away team, you take the chance to score. Cora is the manager, he gives the direction to the other coaches.
  10. Berrios is a damn good pitcher. We just wore him out.
  11. You have a ten game run after the Jays that should net you guys some serious wins. TB, KC and TX. They’re 21-46 this far combined. After that, the season will toughen considerably
  12. They take their marching orders from Cora. If Cora wants them to be more cautious, he will say so
  13. Boone was a dummy for stacking the two anyway. I heard David Cone talk about it on the telecast and he made a lot of sense and I assume Boone was aware of it too. Having two massive RHH players stacked allows a pitcher to figure out their angle quicker especially if they walk or allow a hit to Judge. Forcing a pitcher to change to the lefty, smaller stroke of Didi then adjust back to Stanton makes a lot of sense
  14. This is a rough patch. Listen, your team was playing over it’s head. The sox aren’t built to bludgeon teams the way they were. They were all peaking at the same time on offense. Your team is built to win games 4-3 or 2-1. Your GM went out and improved your club to hang in there when the pitching goes awry, but mostly, Your pitching will carry you. This is gonna be a dog fight for the division. We will be bludgeoning teams and hoping our pitching stays the course while you guys will be putting up a lot of zeros. It’ll be fun to watch. That being said, Devers isn’t a 3b. If your club had the opening, he should be a 1b. The kid is going to be a great hitter, but he’s a serious defensive liability
  15. Devers is not a good 3b. He has 4 errors and didn't get one tonight. He botches the GB to allow 2 runs to score and he throws wild to the plate to allow the other to score. A good 3b keeps the Jays scoreless through 9
  16. That's not even close. Happ won 20 games in 16 and has posted three straight 2.9WAR or higher seasons. Stroman has 7 WAR the last 2 years. Sanchez won the AL ERA title in 2016. Estrada is a #3-4 kind of guy. Garcia is a #5.
  17. BTW, Devers defense cost you today. You win if Devers isn't your 3b
  18. The Twins did make the playoffs last year
  19. And if Mookie hits to his average there is a 70% chance he fails. Granderson has a noodle arm and isn't always accurate. He one bounces it perfect to the plate.
  20. keep dreaming? Your team peaked in April and now are hitting a rough patch. You're not running away with anything. This is gonna be a dog fight
  21. Granderson in LF and Nunez running, you try to score there. Granderson made a perfect throw
  22. 2 outs in the 9th. You send him every time
  23. These birds from north of the border are good. Good day to be a Yankee fan! Down to 4 games
  24. Ty Clip in the game. His nickname should be the Math Tutor
