  1. we need to not only ban linda, but to ban the IP.
  2. And the time bomb is about to blow. Riverside, no hard feelings man, I am in enemy territory trying to make friends, its natural for you guys to view me in that light. I enjoy baseball talk and it is this filth that really bothers me. Plus, I almost feel like the rivalry between the yankees and sox is like big brother little brother type s***. Yankee fans can pick on you guys, but if nobody else is allowed to f*** with you guys. Pissing on the sox is in essence pissing on the entire AL East, yankees included. The rivalry wouldnt be present without the sox being solid. The ALE wouldnt be the league with the best talent if it wasnt for the sox being solid. There is NO NL team that could come into the AL East and win the title, there is not even one NL team that could come to the East and take the wildcard. The dodgers can have fun pissing on the padres, giants, dbacks, and rockies in a fight to see who can win the AL West (ie. the race for who can get swept out of the playoffs first). Eat s*** linda.
  3. it is all in the eyes of the beholder. Law states that he holds merit in proximity to the majors. In that respect, the sox deserve a 14 ranking. Lester with lymphoma, Hansen sucking in his debut, Kottaras being an overrated prospect from a crappy SD system who had a horrible AAA yr last yr. The sox big boys are the Ellsbury, the 3 B's, Place and Anderson. And 3 of them were drafted last yr, 2 of which are HS positional players. One may make the bigs this yr, Buchholz may be on pace for the bigs in 08, who knows. The only legit prospect close is Ellsbury and he isnt your impact rookie sensation type player.
  4. Lester, Pedroia and Hansen are still considered prospects ksush. Papelbon is not.
  5. Yankees 5th and Red Sox 14th.
  6. Anyone who is taking a football arm injury in the same context as a pitching arm injury should lose their posting priviledges for a week!!! (j/k). Clement MAY be back in the second half, but this injury commonly takes a year to recover from, if he ever recovers. Even if he comes back, he'll be very rusty and likely wont be worth having on the team anyway.
  7. ?? Did you just say something about Lugo having better range than AGon? AGon has better hands, range and arm. This is an absolute defensive downgrade. This move is for offense only.
  8. Drew is about as effective on the basepaths as Papi. Drew had one more SB than Big Papi did. He is a shadow of himself as a base stealer. His hammy and quad injuries killed that road.
  9. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/baseball/mlb/01/25/japan.owners.ap/index.html speaking of the far east, japanese owners are trying to come up with a way to stop the posting system. I think it is time we just sign these kids out of HS as INTL FA's and kill that league altogether.
  10. to be honest with you, I think Moroney is a Steven Jackson style back, very powerful, very quick and very fast. He will be one of the top 5 backs in the game when all is said and done. I like the kid a lot.
  11. Moroney is a very promising back. He earned the starting spot and he earned the lions share of the carries. Dillon is no longer needed. Asante is a necessity.
  12. They wont be the only ones, absolutely not. But setting up the camps in the DR and South America certainly assisted the Blue Jays when they were one of the pioneers in that respects early on. The first ones over will have the biggest return on investment early on. Eventually, other teams will catch on.
  13. good one youks, lol.
  14. this is where I disagree with you. Both will have growing pains and considering them as saviours in their first yrs in the majors after being a closeror a japanese player is big expectations. I think Beckett and Schilling are your saviours. If Beckett blows like last yr and if Schilling continues his downward decline then the sox are sunk. Matsu and Paps are going to live up to expectations eventually. Dont expect them both to right away.
  15. nah, I am just eating up what the media reports. They seemed into it when they got trounced 40-6 in the WBC going 0-3. Still, if you tap into 1.3 billion, you have a significantly higher amount of people to form into solid BBall players. They said the same thing about the dominican.
  16. If I were a dodger fan, I wouldnt be happy or upset. Drew was a walking wounded and Lugo was useless to LA. If I were a sox fan, I'd be cautiously optimistic. Lugo is a nice signing, but his biggest asset is his speed and the sox dont run. Drew is the kind of guy the sox want because he has great OBP skills. But as a 5 hitter, they'll expect power and clutch, and his power is suspect and he has Arod disease. Plus he is always injured. If these guys pan out the sox lineup still has some weaknesses and if they bomb they still have Papi and Manny. They'll help, but they arent saviours.
  17. their fervor for crackerjack.
  18. no cockwhore, they have to should get used to this. http://www.thefxsite.com/picts/makeup/MU026_FULL_BODY_CAST.jpg
  19. due to unluckiness, LOL.
  20. they will not be able to opt out unless a VERY specific problem comes about.
  21. Linda, you cockloving manwhore, you cannot take a guy from being a starter, demote him to playing twice a week and make serious judgements about his future. I'm all for putting down the sox, but I am also a baseball fan, and I consider myself a knowledgeable one. You, on the other hand, seem to have no idea about baseball.
  22. this is scout.com, thats all.
  23. If I had to rank the bullpens, the sox would be better than TB, and thats it. I think KC improved a bit and the sox pen is just abysmal.
