  1. Jones and Washington in the backfield means Mangini gets to use the Pats offensive approach. A small burner back who can catch passes out of the backfield. And a feature back to run the ball. The Jets are looking like the patriots more and more every day. Good for them.
  2. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/writers/peter_king/03/05/welker/index.html 2nd and 7th rounders for Wes.
  3. just paraphrasing what I read in the globe.
  4. yeah, they are sucking something terrible. Well aside from being undefeated, they have looked pitiful.
  5. not anymore. The AAV of the yankees right now is right around 180. The sox i believe are around 140-150.
  6. Bronson Sardinha, the yankees 1st rounder from 2001. He is a fringe prospect these days.
  7. absolutely. No hard feelings at all. Cash leagues should have everyone dratfting, I couldnt make it and I was late in bringing it up.
  8. Ah, more dodger fans for the fodder. f***in pukes.
  9. walkoff against Felix Heredia to end it. Great ST game.
  10. I would too. MDC isnt even a top prospect. If they get off without having any residual future damage, then they should do it.
  11. I had heard some scouting reports saying that he sits in the low 80s. It is nice to see that he sits at 88-89 and breaks 90 occasionally. Promising for a first outing though. That changeup is just absolutely filthy. I was expecting a better curve though.
  12. yeah, I deleted my team. No hard feelings. Have a fun league this yr.
  13. Thus far Igawa is looking blah. He is having trouble locating his fastball, but it is a bit harder than what they were saying. He sits at 90 and I saw one or two that was 91. His curve is average, but his changeup is absolutely dirty. His track record says that his control will return, so I'm not worried about that. Overall, interesting line 1IP 1H 3BB 3K 1ER Impressive stuff vs what I was expecting, poor location to this point.
  14. I dont care about my past for this one. This is a money league, a league in which I am throwing in 20 bucks in the hopes of winning. This is outside of the forum, so who cares about my past. Find someone new then, I am fine with pre-ranking for a fun league, but pre-ranking a cash league is stupid.
  15. MDC has never been considered a closer in waiting. His location is poor enough to lower his ceiling. Hansen, on the other hand, when he is going right can locate all of his pitches. That makes him a solid closer candidate.
  16. the thing is, he isnt the type of prospect to be ranked highly. But he is a kid whose ceiling is very reachable. He will never win you a batting title, he wont win an MVP. But he will make the plays, hit for a respectable average and work counts. He is a very fundamentally sound player who will likely be an above average 2b and a solid player in your lineup for many yrs. But he wont be Carew or Soriano. That is why his rank has fallen. Ceiling is huge in many rankings and Pedroia's just isnt that high.
  17. Does anyone have the feeling that loyalty will play a huge role in who closes early on? If Pineiro continues to suck and runs himself out of town, then what is the chance that Tito hands the job to Timlin out of yrs of service?
  18. I dont think the rockies will do a deal that doesnt involve either a future closer, position player or starter. I dont see them accepting MDC as he projects more as a middle relief guy. And if all you get in return for the best player in your frnchises history is a fringe middle relief prospect, then you have done your fans a disservice. Having Helton's cash off the books does nothing for them right now, but getting rid of it prior to the offseason will be helpful. That is why I think Helton gets dealt by midseason or in an early offseason move. Right now you are selling low on a very valuable commodity.
  19. rotoworld is the only ranking list that has Bard even on it, and ahead of Joba and Betances. Interesting.
  20. Now if Helton is still powerless, he isnt much of an upgrade, but he is still an upgrade. But if he regains that power and goes to the sox, then that is one hell of a lineup and it will rise up to nearly equal that of NY's.
