  1. ride the hot horse till it bucks.
  2. and he looked pretty good in his last start. But I hate him.
  3. http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/extras/extra_bases/2007/05/lester_has_fore.html forearm cramping. This is exactly how Humberto Sanchez and Carl Pavano initially started. Send him for an MRI and stop his rehab for awhile.

  5. anyone ready for SOME SHOCKING NEWS!!! Pavano likely out for the season.
  6. http://blogs.courant.com/yankees/2007/05/tornados_on_its.html He felt pain in his forearm in a bullpen today and will se James Andrews in ALA. His "mild forearm tightness" is now presumed to be a UCL tear and he may need TJ surgery. This would likely end his yankee career.
  7. lost in all this is Coco staying red hot,
  8. that is what they said about Pavano at first. I really wish the kid well. He's probably the only sock I dont wish some sort of ill upon.
  9. who can't Ellsbury wait to meet in CF next yr? Coco?
  10. I agree. Hughes is to be replaced by Pavano, but Pavano wont be ready for about 2 more turns.
  11. different question... You are faced with a trade that you cannot pass up. One of their requirements is either Buchholz or Bowden. Which one do you deal? I'd deal Buchholz. Bowden is younger and from the SR's, he has the better overall repertoire and control.
  12. He was buzzsaw against that offense. It wasnt just the no-hit bid. He didnt allow a ball out of the infield for nearly 5 innings.
  13. He'll prove you wrong. He has much better location that Arroyo and his curveball is way better. And Hughes sits 91-92. That is where he was all night. Minimize him all you want, there is a reason why he is the best pitching prospect in baseball.
  14. Buchholz the more powerful fastball, Hughes the better stuff and location.
  15. kid coming to the dish. A guy who is hitting .200. You dont risk hanging a splitter. Buck beat him on his best pitch. Granted, his location sucked, but it was his best pitch. You tip the cap and move on. I wouldnt be concerned with Paps aside from the workload he has been under recently. Nearly 40 pitches tonight is too much.
  16. agree completely. Beane typically waits until the last yr before he deals them. And, whenever you deal with Beane, you typically get FOOKED.
  17. he was around 91-93. But his curve and change were filthy tonight.
  18. for now is the operative phrase.
  19. blalock off myers.
  20. that one had to hurt. Kinda like watching our phenom throwing a no-no only to be removed due to injury.
  21. no no ends.
