    I dont give two shits about class. This yankee team (aside from ARod) has played with class and dignity all the way down to a 13.5 game deficit. And where did I say to put Lowell in a coma. You guys misinterpret me. I dont want the guy dead, injured or whatever. I want him scared. You hit a guy in the butt and he takes his base. You throw head level and you scare the hitter. I want him to fear walking into the box. In terms of a bench clearing brawl, that may be EXACTLY what we need. For too long we have allowed your team to walk on us when we were the better team. Now, the tables are turned. You guys are obviously the better team. Yet you till try to walk all over us. f*** that. Show some guts yankees and stick up for your teammates. Also, I am not comparing them to the sox in 04 during the ALCS. I am talking about when we had a 10 game lead in July and then ARod decided to hit Vtek. That one moment has redefined the rivalry. Maybe we can return the favor.

    To be honest, this actually helps our team. Hope he gets better in the meantime, but having Phelps as the everyday 1b is something this team SHOULD have done since day 1.

    s*** has been brewing all series. I think this is the game it boils over. If I were the sox, I'd stay away from any sort of fight. As we saw in 2004, a dormant yet talented team can become united in a blink of an eye. Dont give em a reason. And if I were the Yankees, I'd drill Lowell and see where it takes us.

    hell, maybe I'm a dirty player. Who knows. This is how I played the game and how I was coached to play the game. No nonsense. Dont start anything, but be willing to finish what they start. I've seen teammates get reemed out for headhunting without reason and I've seen teammates get reemed out for not putting a kid on his ass when it was warranted. It goes both ways.

    And this time, it wont be as bad of an outcome. There is a reason why Conigliaro's injury is an isolated incident. The protection is better, the batter's eyes allow the hitter a clean view of the ball, etc etc etc. Throwing up and in isnt as dangerous as it used to be. And back in the day, they'd deck you for looking at them cross-eyed.

    Listen man, baseball has the ultimate equalizer. In football, you can hit someone dirty. In basketball, you can hard foul. In hockey, you can drive a guy into the ice. But baseball has always had this weapon, this aura about throwing at a batter. We need to use it. And btw, I liked the way Bob Gibson played if that gives you any idea into my mindset. I've seen a good amount of replays and read my share on him. That f***er was no-nonsense. And Lowell would have thought twice at 2nd if Gibby was on the mound for us.

    I am okay with what he did on my end. Doesnt mean he didnt deserve one in the ribs. But he didnt forearm shiver Pedroia in the chest and drive him to the ground. Hell, Lowell could have easily injured Cano seriously too. Two can play this game.

    absolutely not. Entering the batters box afraid is something a pitcher preys upon. As a pitcher, you always could tell when someone was afraid and you used it to your advantage. Without that fear, pitchers are very hittable. Right now, your team has no fear of us. We need to instill some. And I am all for drilling someone in the ribs if they were an ******* or to send a message to the other pitchers to stop throwing at our players. And like I said, hitting Youks that high was unwarranted last night.

    the Tony C treatment is to ask him to take his helmet off and drill him in the eye. I want to test the strength of his helmet. Hence, I dont want to hit him in the face.

    we have a hard enough time getting little leaguers out. This may have been the biggest team disappointment in modern baseball history. Oh no wait, that was the 04 ALCS. Open mouth, insert gun, pull trigger. Bad memories.

    he's scary good. And his potential is amazing. So many people call him the next Jordan and all that. To be honest, at this age, Lebron is light yrs ahead of where Jordan was. Lebron has a cast of replacement players on his team and he has taken them within one game of the NBA finals. Michael needed Grant and Pippen to get there.

    They didnt. But just because they have no class doesnt mean they arent really f***ing good. You guys beat the piss out of us physically and in the standings. If we are gonna lose, I'd rather we get ours while we are at it.

    and by whatever it takes, it doesnt mean letting a major league player go. You have to remember that Hughes is a major leaguer now. Steinny hasnt always been huge on dealing his major leaguers. His minor leaguers? He'd deal the whole lot for Santana. And to be honest with you, if he dealt Betances, Tabata, Kennedy and Chamberlain for Santana, I'd be more pissed than if he got rid of Hughes.

    wrong on nearly every count. Putting a shoulder into someone while their momentum is coming towards you is essentially a tackle. Any other language used to describe that is misleading. And we have been sucking all season. Why would I pick now to explode? Lowell deserved to be retaliated on. That is that. Papi and Manny should be brushed back every now and then. Other than that, play ball and let the best team (yours) win.
