  1. Yanks last two post season runs ended because of a Chapman slider. His slider is good, but he cannot reliably keep it down. So he added a splitter which is absolute death on hitters.
  2. Don’t care how bad the teams we are playing are. The bats were so bad that Matt Harvey one hit us. For the whole month of April, the Yanks had slider speed bats. Over the last 4 games, they look to have finally come around and are hitting the ball hard. The whole team has started to rise offensively except for DJ surprisingly enough. The pitching is way better than expected. Cole is the April front runner for AL CY. Kluber had a great last start and finally showed the command that won him two CY’s. German has had two excellent starts in a row. Montgomery has been solid. Taillon is the only started scuffling right now. The pen has been lights out. But the O was so bad that it’s a miracle we’re only 4 back in the L column. With them starting to return to prominence, we should have a pretty strong rest of the way
  3. Base runners last 4 games. 15-13-15-20. Keep the traffic on the bases and we will keep winning. Also, team ERA last 4 games is 0.97
  4. Montgomery can’t locate in the 1st
  5. Judge missing in action for the second day in a row
  6. I didnt see the stat you posted, lol.
  7. Well that happened fast. Gleyber is on a tear now
  8. So we shift Higashioka into the starting catcher role. Voit is due to return in 10 days. If Torres is still slumping, I move DJ to 3rd and Gio to SS and give Gleyber a breather in AAA. The added benefit of Higgy is the defense and pitching. Higgy is a superior game caller and defender. It’s no surprise Kluber threw his best game with Higgy behind the plate
  9. Because he’s a player you can dream on. The problem is, he’s been more nightmare than dream in his career
  10. He has underperformed for sure and is not alone.
  11. 9 hits in 4 innings. Bout f***ing time. Also, Mark April 27, 2021 as the day Gary Sanchez lost the starting job
  12. I kinda wish the team would start making some moves, but I’m more a meddling person than a patient one
  13. Ultimately, this team is inexcuseably bad. The pitching has been really, really good. Now, breaking it down, it is bullpen and Cole, but the ERA of the team is stupid low. The defense sucks. The baserunning sucks. The offense sucks. They aren't this bad, but with every passing game, they maybe arent all that good.
  14. Time to fire Thames. Can’t fire the players, so gotta go after a coach
  15. This month has been one to forget. Surprised they’re only 9-12. They’re better than that
  16. One inning this time around. He’s gonna be rusty just like Kluber. I like the stuff, but he hasn’t shown the ability or been given the chance to handle adversity
  17. They’re not on fire. The bats will rise. If the pitching can continue lighting it up, we will go on a tear
  18. Bloom rolled the dice on the OF for a reason. If Renfroe and Cordero found their stroke in Fenway, then you’re gold. If not and the Sox are in contention, it’s very easy to snag a serviceable OFer via trade.
  19. Stanton, Judge, Lemahieu, Sanchez and Torres have all made multiple all star games.
  20. I spent far more time whining about the Yanks this first month, clearly. Also, I’ve been really busy professionally this month and haven’t been chatting due to a grind of a schedule. I haven’t seen a baseball game since the 19th, just game casting and audio since I’ve been clinical. My hope is I get to start watching more as my schedule clears up, but I won’t be able to watch a game until probably the 6th inning on Monday night! While the guys who are sucking on your squad have a history of better success, they are guys who suck chronically. Those guys can fall off the table. The guys sucking for the Yanks are perennial all stars. They typically right the ship
  21. You have guys who are so damn hot right now it’s almost comical. Don’t give the “some of the team isn’t hot” argument. Vaz is around career norms. The rest of the trash you noted are just that, trash. Once JD remembers he’s on planet earth and Bogey comes back a bit, the offense will struggle. Today you got an offense that was handled by a 30 yr old coming back from Korea and Bad Nate decided to show his face. Nate also had a drop in velo today, which makes you wonder if he just didn’t have it or if (as his history shows) he’s got an injury. The Sox are fading as expected after their uncanny 9 in a row run. It’s a long season. The response to the fade will be telling for the Sox team. Do they become the 4 wins in 10 team they were predicted to be, or can they be more the 85-90 win team some of you hoped they’d be?
  22. If the Yanks can win tomorrow, they might be able to make it a double digit win streak. If we take the final Guardians game, we’ll be at 4 in a row. We get Baltimore for four without Means then a 3 gamer vs Detroit. Time to get to and over .500 here
  23. Odor in YS is a scary thing if he can keep his stroke. Odor gives the Yanks the option of shifting DJ to 3b and Urshela to SS should Torres need a reset in the minors
  24. Against Bieber, you take what you can get. Cole was straight fire. Loaisiga was dominant too. Only 2 back in the L column with the offense still not hitting on all cylinders
