  1. It only makes sense that this would come up, and with Manny, he's never been timely with his comments. The first year it would probably suck, but like Damon, when he starts sucking, it will be fun to watch.
  2. Glad he's showing intergrity by not coming to a contender. Maybe he's concerned about how he'll fit but a bat like his would have been hard to keep out of the lineup.
  3. The numbers seem to bear that out.
  4. What about last night?
  5. As he does everywhere else.
  6. I am. I am also confused as to why people think the Sox got hosed. Were Hansen and Moss going to lead them to another World Series...ever.
  7. I wish Coco had played either of his first two Red Sox season's as well as he is playing now. The only unfortunate thing about trading Coco now is that he is actually helping them win games. I know it will never happen but both could be in the lineup at the same time if Papi plays first. DH Manny and put Jacoby in left, at least until Lowell gets back. Defense take a hit but the lineup would look quite balanced with speed and power.
  8. I'm guessing he meant Youk at 3rd, and Casey at 1st.
  9. I really thought Aaron Hill's base running in the 7th changed the outcome of the game. He was rounding second with Damon picking up a ball near the wall after Melky did his patented dive and ended up nowhere near the ball. He stopped at second, down by a run, and I don't think Damon would have had a great chance at throwing him out at third. The announcers mentioned it but perhaps if I was watching a Blue Jays broadcast they would have discussed the subject at more length. Hill advanced to 3rd on Zauns ground out where he chould have been crossing home plate. Oh well...:dunno:
  10. What about Dusty Brown?
  11. I'm torn. On one hand he was abysmal at the plate but on the other hand every other catcher (outside of Tek on occasion) seems lost when trying to catch Wake.
  12. Meh...I was 11 when my friends came over and raided the liquor cabinet. My buddy was wharfing in the front yard. I told my parents the dog must have did it. We didn't own a dog. Good times. :dunno:
  13. Please let the Yanks give up the farm for him. I would seriously hate any trade for Santana because it would come at too high a price.
  14. Am I the only one who wouldn't mind seeing basically the same team back? 1) Ask Crisp if he wants to be 4th outfielder, if not (which I'm guessing) trade him for whatever you can get. All this talk about packaging him for a starter is close to obsurd. 2) Give Shill a one year deal and pick up Wake's option. You can never have enough pitching. 3) Re-sign Lowell to a 3 year deal, whatever the market dictates.
  15. If A-Rod came to Boston, which I am not openly rooting for, I would like to think he'd play short.

Well, the Guardians are proving to be amazingly evil, in the best possible way. The G and M's Jeff Blair blogs this morning that the Tribe has invited country music strumpet Danielle Peck (seen above...mrrroawr!) to sing the National Anthem before tonight's game...a game to be started by Josh Beckett, who just happened to have had something of a dalliance at some point with Ms. Peck. That, friends, is what we call gamesmanship.
  18. I wonder if he was juicing...makes sense I guess.
