  1. Hey, sounds crazy, but so does the fact that the Royals are up 3-0 on the Yanks and Mussina through 3 in the Bronx
  2. it must suck to be Ty Wigginton. He had a chance to be the starting 3rd Baseman for the Mets, but he screws up and then blooms into a decent player in Tampa Bay
  3. There is no way they will make the same mistake the Mets did. Heck, even if they do by some string of teh imagination, it wont be to anyone in their division
  4. a great sign that Robinson should consider retiring. You dont cry after a performance like that, you call the guy into your office and give him a bus ticket back to AAA
  5. Youk is doing a good job of setting up for the big guns right now, in the AL, the 9 spot is sometimes a compliment. Here is my ideal lineup CF Crisp 2B Loretta DH Ortiz LF Ramirez 3B Lowell RF Nixon/Pena C Varitek SS Gonzales 1B Youkilis I know Varitek is low, but right now Nixon and Pena are just better, as long as Wily Mo stays in the lineup consistently. 3 days or more off put him in automatic strike out streaks.
  6. When that traitor wants to make things right again and happens to be arguably the greatest pitcher of all time, a fairy tale ending would suit me just fine. By the way, ESPN reports that Houston and Boston are the favorites for his return.
  7. Snow is definitely headed West. SF wants him, so I think we should give up a young prospect other than Lester or Hansen and see what that will get us. If the Giants get too far out of contention, they could go Mini-Marlins. As for Choi, package him in somewhere, he is useless, he cant even come in for Francona in his 8th inning defensive changes
  8. Brandon Inge has suddenly taken the place of Chris Shelton, hitting a homer about every other day. I think this team is like a young 2005 White Sox team. I do not think they will have the same result due to experience, but they might have a better record.
  9. I don't really think you can judge the talent of these guys on the major league level yet. They are all in the stage of newness that confuses hitters. Near the end of the season that trade could be obvious. Right now, I would stick with Papelbon. While Zumaya has nasty stuff and Verlander has been great, you should stick with your guns until it is proven that the others are better.
  10. Hi everybody, I'm new, but not as a Red Sox fan. Did everyone notice that when Papelbon threw the last pitch of the 8th last night, as soon as it left his hand he started walking to teh dugout. Hershiser called it a perfect pitch and after the D-Ray hitter swung, they panned the camera back to find Papelbon halfway to the dugout. Some call it cocky, but it was not arrogant, he was just confident.
