  1. Point taken. It does seem like we bomb against them all the time.
  2. Well they are 66-62 in arguably the toughest division in baseball.
  3. f***, Lester has nothing today. 5-0.
  4. Hell, even "25 guys 25 cabs" won 93 games in 2002.
  5. Copy cat! And while Wake is pitching Tuesday, they have Ponson going Wednesday...it evens out.
  6. Congrats to Jeter on hit 2500.
  7. f***in Rays...still 4.5 GB.
  8. Rays down 2-1 in the 5th vs CWS. There's a painful way to reach by Coco.
  9. If he plays well, he will be loved.
  10. True, but it's not like he's a disaster. He's not what he once was, but he's a respectable pitcher. I used baseball-reference's "neutralize stats" feature, it gave a 4.30/1.27 in 2007, and a 4.38/1.27 in 2008, the two years in SD.
  11. While it's true that he's been in the NL, his numbers still are decent. ERA in the low 4's, WHIP around 1.20, pretty consistent since 2003.
  12. 4th HOF'er to get dealt this season. Neat-o.
  13. Because they're out of contention and they could dump all of his salary.
  14. Is it me or is Ellsbury's stance more upright today?
  15. And then there's the fact that in 2006 and 2007, years that he wasn't at his best in plenty of aspects, he OPS'd .999 and 1.045, respectively.
  16. But it's still production, right? I say yes, but I agree with CB, if Drew can play, then no real need.
