  1. That's 15 2/3 consecutive scoreless for Hanson.
  2. Blanco Johnson Jones McCann Anderson Kotchman Francoeur Hernandez Hanson
  3. I said he is going to be good; he was ranked the 13th best prospect by BP.
  4. I'm liking the plate discipline progression this year. Glad he improved from his awful 2008.
  5. Olney predicts 60/4 or 75/5. If that's it, that's a no brainer for the Sox.
  6. Me too. Hanson is gonna be a good one.
  7. They haven't started talking yet, and I'd be surprised if anything got done before the end of the season.
  8. JFC the Mets suck. They're totally scoring 1 run agaist Wang.
  9. Pedroia Drew Youkilis (3B ) Bay Ortiz Varitek Ellsbury Green Penny
  10. Which would you rather have in the middle of the order?
  11. This probably isn't going to happen.
  12. Drew's OBP is not because of our lineup. Look at his career stats.
  13. ^ Sick lineup right there.
  14. Youk is also one of the two guys with the best chances to drive runs in. Seriously, what lineup do you want?
  15. He's right. Besides the fact that your example was only one sample, you want a guy with a better chance to get on base to get the most ABs.
  16. Probably a good call.
  17. OBP is most important for a leadoff hitter, and Ellsbury lacks it. If he's the prototype leadoff guy, why isn't he hitting leadoff?
  18. So why do you think Pedroia does?
  19. As you said, only 8 at bats so not a worry. And taking it slow seems like a fine idea; Green will suffice through the AS break at least, which is only a few weeks away.
  20. Congrats on the job. Enjoy spitting into *******s' food.
  21. The way Drew has been playing? He has a .450+ OBP in June.
  22. He hasn't been bad against lefties this year: .375 OBP in 64 PA. Pedroia has been slightly better over his career against lefties, so it might be of benefit to hit him leadoff then. It's not a huge difference though. The slugging percentage isn't a deterrent to Drew hitting leadoff IMO. Welcome to the site, I hope you stick around. You seem like you'll be a great contributor!
