  1. nah, you guys should keep paps where he is now. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. who will close for you then if he becomes a starter? Only Foulke, IMO. Ryan is fine right now. He gets rest when he absolutely needs it. I believe Baltimore used him much more last season than he's being used right now, didn't they? Sucks about Chacin, but Burnett will be back in just over a week. He pitched 5 hitless innings in his rehab start and with no pain. Good start. I'd keep Chacin out for at least a few more weeks. Casey Janssen's doing just fine right now as it is.
  2. i understand that tradition is very important in baseball... but i think its time that both teams got a dome at least one that opens and closes on demand. the east coast always gets shitloads of rain these days.

  4. Good votes. Thats almost exactly what i went with, aside from lowell at 3rd.
  5. i did say, "Yep, we own Boston this season." obviously things may change. our bane seems to be Texas right now.
  6. yes yes, you win 2 or 3 of those games and suddenly we're 10 games back. but if Baltimore wins a few of the games against you guys and suddenly you're way back with the D-Rays!
  7. yep, we own Boston this season. Thank God. Now if only we can do the same thing with NY. I think we should keep Janssen in there to replace Towers and roll the Dice with Burnett for now. if these things can work out then i think our starting rotation will be one of the best.
  8. what? Why is boston the only reason we're close? we've taken 2 out of 3 more often than not and have taken 3 out of 4 as well. i could say the same thing about Boston being up there because of them playing Baltimore. Boston and Toronto are both good teams and will be battling it out all year for first. look at the lineups. the aces and the power are all similar
  9. Aaron hill is picking it up too. People don't realize that his average was under 200 a few weeks ago but now is around 260. AJ's a pussy yeah, i mean he needs to pitch through it, especially when he's getting paid so much money. He really has no right to shoot down any questions about him pitching through pain. He's doing well though in rehab. I think everyone will be praising him in a month for how good he is. If he gets injured again...well..i'm with you. why don't we have a chance to compete with NY or Boston? personally i feel Boston is better overall, i just don't see any huge difference in pitching and offence that makes us inferior. People say that our offense will slow down, and it has a little, but who's to say other teams averages won't slow down at the same time?
  10. yeah we do, why? its national.
  11. Umm.... the Jays have beaten most teams this season in series. we just haven't swept any teams yet. Tower's is the main reason why we're behind you guys a couple games. how can a mediocre team be a game behind?
  12. you send a message to someone who's good but isn't performing well.. you don't hit someone who is performing very well right now because it only reaffirms how good they are doing
  13. not every game, just ones where they're up against a potent offense.
  14. Speier!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Yeah i don't know what the f*** Gibbons is doing. They need to just put Hinske in there. He's an offensive and defensive machine (very surprising)
  16. i'd say one inning a piece
  17. I doubt Speier's will come into the game tonight. Probably Schoeneweis and then Ryan
  18. i agree, that was kind of unnecessary. i should bite my tongue though on my last comment
  19. you have a lot of anger. how many manny posters do you have plastered all over your wall?
  20. as i said. one or two bad games will inflate your era pretty good. if you're going to blow a game you may as well go big
  21. You mean the TORONTO fans. the people in the stadium are mainly core fans i think. its not a reflection of all the fans
  22. Jays pen blows outside of Ryan? Well hey, at least we're keeping pace with the rest of the bullpens in the AL east. Ryan and Speier's are good. so is Schoeneweis and Frasor. everyone has bad games
  23. Believe me, it'd be worse for us if the Jays would've lost a game with Halladay pitching. You need to win it tomorrow. Its hard to say how Chacin will perform since this is his first start in awhile.
  24. If you ever had Hudson i would cry.. and would begin to despise you Its one thing for him to make incredible plays for your side, but... His offense is only average though.
