    Not ready to cut bait on Smoltz yet. His peripheral numbers are still pretty good. It's been one or two innings that did him in a la Lester earlier in the year. Today was the first day that you could say he got rocked. I think they give him 2-3 more starts to figure it out.

    I read the Sox turned down the Buchholz for Vmart swap and then when the Sox countered with Bowden/Masterson/+ the Guardians rejected that.

    I agree with a700, as much as I like the job this FO has done I think this team will be made or broken over the next 5 days. A big, big part of me is thinking however that Theo's big move was LaRoche, and will now say "We did our part, price of milk too expensive etc. etc., we really like our squad now"
