Refreshing the board isn't working either. Not picking up any new posts. ANyone else having this problem? -
I love the people blame Nick Green for the loss last night but the fact is it was Papelbon who walked Cust after getting him down 1-2 and it was Papelbon who gave up a near HR to Tommy Boy. He's pitched like s*** and was due for one of these outings, and the thing is I don't think this will be the only one in the second half. All I can say is I'm really glad he's decided to go year to year. His new pitching mechanics have really f***ed him up.

Not when it was pretty obvious that the healthy return of Ortiz AND Lowell AND Drew was very unlikely. Or, what PC said. This team had no contingency plan for if/when Lowell went down. Kotsay wasn't the answer. They were lucky Pittsburgh dealt them LaRoche.

You can't tell me their involvement won't increase now. If they send them Jackson, Montero, and Hughes, and take back Halladay and Rios's contract, that will be quite appealing for JP. Not liking this. Yankees can really shift the balance of power in the AL (if it's not there already)

While I can't argue with the tenor of your post, the offense scored 7 tonight. Should not have been an issue. This loss is squarely on Papelbon's shoulders.

Why's everybody laughing? This puts NYY right back into the Halladay sweepstakes. Don't think for a second Cashman wouldn't be able to absorb Rios's contract along with Halladay.
