Yanks and Sox both lose a game to the Metric but the Sox gain a game overall, which is what I expected them to do over this series anyway. Red Sox: Predicted: 74-46 Actual: 72-48 (-2) Yankees: Predicted: 66-54 Actual: 67-53 +1 The Sox are in total three games off of their pace.

Excuse me? The Red Sox have been the hallmark of inconsistency the last few months, especially with their inefficiency on offense which could be traced to the lack of power from the "best 3-4 combo in 30 years" Manny Ramirez has been a bigger disappointment than JD Drew. He's killed the team this year.

Yesterday is all (mostly) on Gagne, although I have a huge issue with Tek calling 7 straight fastballs. Friday night, three of the first four hitters were lefties, and he brings in Gagne. WHY? It seems to me Francona is trying to force the issue and it's costing the team ballgames.
