  1. NL baseball blows. So does having three pitchers at the bottom of your order.
  2. Pray for rain? He's due for a regression.
  3. f***. Now what am I gonna do?
  4. I think he just needs to be moved down in the order, but it wouldn't hurt during these NL games.
  5. You mean he won't be a 1.17 OPS player the rest of the way????? With his defense, if he puts up a .900 OPS that's more than acceptable.
  6. Owned.
  7. Why don't we look at what he actually said. Doesn't seem to be too damning, IMO. He threw in disclaimer after disclaimer.

  9. I don't have time to dig through all of the posts but I'm fairly confident this isn't the case.
  10. Why can't he do both? He posted that on HIS website. If you don't like it, don't read it.
  11. Vujacic was the only one who complained about the officiating after the game. Pathetic...even Kobe and Phil didn't whine.
  12. JD Drew in June not counting tonights 2-4 with a double, HR, and a walk: .500/.605/1.156/1.761 Instead of replacing Ortiz's offense, it's like he's given us his production ON TOP of Ortiz's.
  13. Can you imagine a lineup with a rejuvenated Manny, a healthy Ortiz, and a productive JD? Boner.
  14. When MDC throws strikes, he's unhittable.
  15. Real solid work from Lester. Hats off.
  16. watching JD dent the wall makes me happy in the pants. Other than JD's resurgence the story of the year for me is watching Lester transform into a reliable starter. It's nice when these things happen on the same day.
  17. Where'd you get your degree in medicine? You don't feel it "warrants" time off, tell me what injuries do? If you think vertigo isn't a good reason to miss games than I don't really know what to tell you. Gary Matthews got paid $10 mil. Johnny Damon got paid $13 mil. Are they 45 hr guys? You take the average number of games played, taking into consideration years he was injured that weren't his fault. Ergo, you skew the argument. I'm not sensitive at all, I call people out when they spew ******** about people they heard from the known drunk Tony LaRussa. He calls him soft, or weak, or something and everyone hops on that bandwagon. So? If he hits the way he did in October I'm OK with him taking a week or two off. hell, I'd love for everyone to be able to do that. He has a career .894 OPS. How is that a joke?
  18. JD Drew is third in the AL in OPS. If that's a joke, by all means joke away.
  19. FACT - I'm one of maybe five people on this board who supported JD Drew all last season. FACT - 150 games is an arbitrary amount to ask someone to play, and is a perfect example of skewing an argument in your favor. FACT - JD Drew played 145 games in 2004, 146 games in 2006, and 140 games in 2007. FACT - The only reason JD Drew didn't play that many games in 2005 was because he got hit by a pitch and broke his wrist. What about him makes him "soft"? Please, enlighten me. "He hasn't played 150 games in a season" seems awful weak.
