    Wow, I didn't see the game tonight and almost fell off the couch when i heard the news---a sad day for baseball! Gammo is the only tollerable part of baseball tonight, with this happening it probably means Kruk is going to get more airtime which is bad for the game! The game of baseball and the sox are better off because of Gammo, now let's all wish him a speedy recovery!:thumbsup:

    and of course BDD has got that article on their front page:rolleyes: Pedro better get a standing O when he comes to Fenway---look what he did for the sox during the middle of the steroid era! He is, without a doubt, the best pitcher I have seen in my lifetime!

    are you serious? Unreal, Trot's batting #5 ( i think) in the AL and plays a far superior RF to WMP---and still get's no love!

    What is amazing here is that Gammo get's asked what he thinks will happen -- and he gives his opinion. (same thing happened on "the big show" on weei last week) -----but then he is killed for doing so! If someone asked me i would give them my opinion---the difference here is that none of the people on this board (to the best of my knowledge) were interviewed by a major paper for their opinion! I know a lot of people here want to bag him for it, but gammo does have the credentials to give his opinion on a baseball game!

    I looked through some recent posts and the over/under banned thread but didn't really see anything as to why he was :banned: Can anyone give any insight? I certainly didn't agree with him, but he was entertaining at times!

    What crap from the USA. Their heads got way too big after the last WC and it showed as they got outplayed most of the tourney. That BS PK in stoppage time in the first half was just stupid. It def shifted the game as Ghana was happy to sit and play D the rest of the way--however great teams can overcome things like that. The fact that Arena keeps blaming the ref is just dumb,,,he coached like crap. Why in the world are we playing a 1-5-4 when we need 2 goals in the 2nd half, and bringing in convey and johnson was too little too late. McBride couldn't get free all tourney becuase they were all over him, when we actually bring in another guy (convey, johnson, ect...) then he was freed up for more strikes. We played like crap, no emotion, players out of position, players confused --for the whole WC! Arena is done as head coach for the USA and he knows it!

    We won't part with the young players that it would take to land smoltz! I want to win this year, but not at the expense of our future---that and getting Smoltz assures us of only one thing---an old staff!

    Let's give him a chance, but I would like to see Snyder get another chance here. He has great stuff, just full of injuries over his career. Shilling was very hopefull with Snyder---I guess we'll see what happens, but I'm not counting on the fatman and Clement coming back strong!

    Lester isn't getting a wide zone tonight (fair but not wide) and he is just making them look stupid! He is getting ahead of every batter--i think the last 5 or 6 batters facing him have been down 0-2!
