  1. Ill tell you one thing, Its as unflattering a picture for her as it is for him
  2. I would play for and root for the yankees in exchange for Derek Jeter's life.
  3. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4663979
  4. Yeah, it definitely has nothing to do with the Yankees having been around an extra 60 years...
  5. We did kinda have a couple injuries/shut down the entire team in 2006.
  6. Yeah- what the Yankees have done and what they are now are both extremely impressive, but in the history of organized sports, they are more like the tallest midget, as are the Canadiens and Celtics compared to the other major world sports
  7. Weren't our main acquisitions for the 2007 WS gotten via trade? I don't think Lugo was the difference maker. Drew is the only FA guy I can think of off the top of my head...
  8. "The best franchise in the history of organized sports" The close-mindedness associated with this statement makes it much easier to dismiss everything else you say as incorrect.
  9. Gom saying that Dipre is right, Dipre and Dojj getting along.... (In best Jurassic Park voice) Welcome......to Bizarro Talksox.
  10. Seriously- this should be closed and stickied or sent to Obama for approval or something
  11. I think this is the first time in the history of the internet that all of this agreement has occurred. Should we all sign and date this thing?
  12. I think its just a defense mechanism because it sounds bad. And it kind of is bad. Is it within the rules? Absolutely. I'm pretty sure you can still f*** your first cousin in lots of states too. Does spending all that money guarantee a world series? Of course not. Do the yankees win the world series without spending all that money? Most likely not.
  13. Its legitimate. And bought. Its both, in my opinion.
  14. Honestly, (and this is if there were calls being blown last in the game on a basis regular enough to notice, and I can't personally say I've seen this) I would say the second one, when the result of those two teams winning is tens of millions of dollars more for the conference.
  15. I guess you missed the part where I said: "I think this should be the Yanks year" I'm sure this was difficult to find, seeing how it was the first 7 words of the post, followed by a silly game involving points and picking different winners than others in order to win.
  16. Erick Aybar and Elvis Andrus come to mind.
  17. You don't offer a max deal to someone when you plan on having them play 80% of their contract out in a DH role (especially when they are going to receive OF dollars). It lends your team zero flexibility. David Ortiz in his current status is an excellent example, and he was a much better hitter when going into his contract (which was only for 4 years at a lower rate than Bay will be asking). Further, the Mariners have a hole at 3B that needs filling. It doesn't make sense.
  18. ...in the meantime offering him a 5 year deal to be a DH for 4... Seems like an unlikely scenario to me.
  19. I wish you were one of my love interests, then, because you are easily impressed. I would be outperforming my expectations all the time.
