    Sweet! I need to check on who should be pitching on 9/2. I know things can change but who would be pitching for the 9/7 game? Pena's at bats are as long as Nomar's were. Speed it up man!

    My brother went to a couple of games while down there on business. He swears he would never go back, even if the Red Sox were playing. When he went it was miserable. My boyfriend and I are going to "Fenway South" Thursday to see the Red Sox v. O's. Camden is nice.

    I'm afraid it is. Last night at my regular sports bar, they showed the Redskins preseason game on the big screen over the Sox. Unreal. Last year during the WS they were showing VA Tech football games over the WS games. It may have been different if the Red Sox were in the WS but I'm not sure. Hate it.

    I hear ya. I listen to Dan Patrick, Steven A Smith pretty regularly at work. I used to think my mom was nuts for listening to talk radio and now I'm a junkie:lol: The White Sox suck.

    Downs on trade waivers Posted by Nick Cafardo, Globe Staff August 25, 2010 05:15 PM Manny Ramirez went on trade waivers today, but the one name who also hit the waiver wire who could be of interest to Boston is Toronto's lefty reliever, Scott Downs. He's been atop Boston's wish list from the start, but the Sox couldn't work out a deal for him at the non-waiver trade deadline. The Jays put him on trade waivers today and it would be shocking if the Red Sox didn't place a claim. Question is will the Jays' demands for him come down? Or, would another team with a worst record beat Boston to the punch? Downs will be a free-agent.

    I was glad we had Lowell in Youk's absence, thought he'd hit more consistently. But no one can "replace" Youk, IMO. Besides getting thrown out at 3rd, why was Lowell so bad today? Had an RBI and 2 BB's. I was listening on the radio at work so didn't see the game.
