  3. Now I finally understand WTF SweetChinMusic was talking about. Remy is sick and Smalley is filling in for him.
  4. Batting .084 in the NL isn't going to improve but so much in the AL. But it is way too early to tell. Brought in for his defense mostly.
  5. A complete snooze-fest in MN. Their announcers aren't much better. God good! Sounds like they are on valium or stoned.
  6. Not after 15 games. C'mon man. He can learn a lot more in AAA and be helpful later in the season if needed.
  7. Salty!!! Golfing again!!
  8. The batting order is the least of my concerns.

  12. NY Daily News.... It's not good to believe all we read. No offense to you SCM. Aviles, Valentine deny report of 'ugly scene' Posted by Peter Abraham, Globe Staff April 23, 2012 05:51 PM On Sunday, a New York tabloid reported that there was a “very ugly scene” between Red Sox shortstop Mike Aviles and manager Bobby Valentine during spring training. On Monday, Aviles and Valentine denied anything happened. Citing a source, Bill Madden of the New York Daily News wrote that there was a “near player revolt” the first week of spring training when Valentine “got all over” Aviles during infield drills. Madden described Red Sox player as confronting Valentine “with outrage” and that the manager apologized to Aviles. "That happened? Not that I know of," Aviles said. "It was all news to me, I'll tell you that much. ... I don't know where that's coming from. I don't know anything about it." Said Valentine: "I just heard about it. It goes from the sublime to ridiculous doesn't it around there? Those New York writers. If we're going to do a full disclosure, which we better do that, at the team party that I threw, I spilled a Coke on one of the player's wives and I apologized." Aviles worked out the entire first week with Dustin Pedroia, Adrian Gonzalez and Kevin Youkilis. Pedroia and Gonzalez said there was no incident. "What?" Pedroia said. "Seriously? That didn't happen." Aviles has started all but one game this season, drawing only praise from Valentine. The Daily News had four reporters at Fenway Park over the weekend. None, Aviles said, asked him about the supposed incident.

  14. Feel that the Bruins have the upper hand in game 7. My thought was that if the Caps were going to win, it needed to be last night. RSSFL. Live hockey is great! I've never been to an NHL game but would love to. I've been to many minor league games. Great sport to watch live IMO.
  15. I think that's a good thing.
  16. Raining in Boston and waiting for a call Posted by Peter Abraham, Globe Staff April 22, 2012 12:12 PM Games in New York (Giants-Mets) and Washington (Marlins-Nationals) have already been rained out. But there is nothing yet to report on the Yankees and Red Sox at Fenway Park tonight. Once there is, we'll post it here. Promise. This much we do know: Every forecast calls for steady rain to get heavier as the day goes on and into Monday. The chance of rain is 100 percent at 8:05 p.m. when the game is supposed to start. The Red Sox are flying to Minnesota after the game and the Yankees are going to Texas. So making the teams hang around would tick off a whole lot of folks. But that has happened before, especially when national television is involved. Meanwhile, if any team in the history of teams could use a rainout, it's the Red Sox. We will keep you posted.
  17. How true!!
  18. But imagine what it would be like if Tito was still here. People would be calling for his head. Regardless, it is hard to put that much blame on the manager when there are obviously so many other problems.
