  1. They can live with the kids for now.....give them a chance before going out and getting another starter and if they do get another starter don't expect a big name either.
  2. 2 innings 3H 2ER....no idea why they took him out but everyone should be rooting for carolina to get eliminated as quickly as possible in Omaha to get the red sox investment signed ASAP as I want the sox controlling his arm and not north carolina anymore.
  3. I think its time for schillingouttheks to take his 12-5 record into a double header tomorrow and get us 2 wins.
  4. Michael Bowden will take his 64/9 K/BB ratio into this afternoon's start against Asheville.
  5. .326/.396/.464 for the year to go along with 4 homers and 19 RBI's and 15 SB's. All this while missing pretty much a month of the season. He will not be in Wilmington for much longer.
  6. didn't see his start but I was hoping that he North Carolina would have lost today and tomorrow so we can get Bard signed ASAP.
  7. Ya and if he keeps doing it Ryan will be burned out by August
  8. Ted Williams son was not drafted by the sox....just signed to a ******** minor league deal.
  9. 1. Lester 2. Hansen 3. Ellsbury 4. Pedroia 5. Bowden 6. Lowrie 7. Buchholz 8. Bard 9. Martinez 10. Place
  10. Youk with the elbow pad again
  11. 2-1 now on a manny RBI groundout
  12. His fastball is between 91-94....hes thrown a changeup and a cutter as well
  13. It should be Lester considering they had to make a roster move.
  14. Cash only works when taking crap off some teams hands not with young pitchers like Willis. Willis=top prospects
  15. The Yankees have no chance at landing him unless they part with Hughes, Duncan and others in a deal. I get the sense they are holding onto Hughes because he is that good of a prospect.
  16. welcome to talksox
  17. Deion Branch skipped voluntary passing camp something he has not previously skipped. I can see him missing mini camp as well in a possible hold out for a new contract.
  18. Right now Wagner is our only legitmate catching prospect
  19. Hansen will be optioned to Pawtucket today to make room for Jon Lester
  20. As I said earlier the Marlins pretty much want 3 ready made prospects in a catcher, centerfielder, and another top prospect. sox don't have the catcher to make it happen and I don't believe the Red Sox are going to move their best position prospect Jacoby Ellsbury who is tearing up the Carolina league in a deal.
  21. Red Sox v.s. Rangers Josh Beckett 7-3 5.27 http://espn.go.com/i/mlb/profiles/players/65x90/6403.jpg v.s. John Wasdin 0-0 0.00 http://espn.go.com/i/mlb/profiles/players/65x90/5490.jpg Texas at Boston 8:05 pm EDT (2nd game) BOSTON (Ticker) -- John Wasdin makes his second appearance of the season against one of his former teams Saturday when the Texas Rangers meet the Boston Red Sox in the second game of a day-night doubleheader. After being recalled from Class AAA Oklahoma, Wasdin (0-0, 0.00 ERA) pitched 2 1/3 scoreless innings and recorded two strikeouts in last Saturday's relief outing against the Chicago White Sox. Wasdin went 19-16 with the Red Sox from 1997-2000 and is 2-4 with a 6.29 lifetime ERA against Boston. The Red Sox counter with Josh Beckett (7-3, 5.27), who went 4-1 with a 4.42 ERA in the month of May. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings in his last outing Monday against the New York Yankees, surrendering eight runs and seven hits. Beckett opened his season with a victory over Texas after yielding just one run and seven hits in seven frames.
