I am all for this. The red sox can regulate his workload by doing this. His arm is too valuable to pitch in the pen and with Lester's uncertainty they need him in the rotation.
Moss was once the #2 rated prospect in the sox system by BA. He has slipped back a bit after being rushed to AA and having repeated AA this past year. He's a good prospect but not someone I would be reluctant to keep if another team asked for him. He doesn't have enough power for a corner outfielder in my eyes. He will start 2007 in Pawtucket unless he is traded in the offseason.
And that is pure speculation at best. The only way I trade crisp is if the Sox get Brad Lidge back. Papelbon is likely headed to the rotation and a closer is needed for the short term.
