  1. somewhat off the subject but did you hear the red sox are trying to trade for josh beckett . I've always liked him. so if you could have schilling as your number 1 then beckett than burnett wakefield papelbon you have an amazing lineup ... I also read this morning in the paper that there is alot of interest out there for matt clement and the red sox would look for a 1st baseman in a trade.
  2. the only way he can be more involved is if the running game starts working more then you'll see more play actions , screens and go routes for watsons where he will eat up every safety and score many a touchdown , I think graham is equally brilliant though I can think of twice this year where he absolutewly bulldozed over people for a touchdown .
  3. I agree with you completely the front seven looked solid and are improving every week. The secondary is the weak spot of course where ellis hobbs shined, eugene wilson has been playing poor and needs to step up big and that really all falls on the other safeties shoulders whoever it ,may be michael stone ,james sanders. randall gay I saw james sanders in for a couple plays he looked alright . I was really impressed with the offense with all the people they had out yesterday they still fought through it no givens was the biggest hit in my opinion putting all the double teams on branch I think even if they play the same way they did today they should beat new orleans by 10 their running game is gone offensive line is hurt joe horn is just recovering from injury. I would love to hold antowain smith to 10 yds
  4. I think they would be more apt to keep baez and trade huff ,milledge, cameron to bos manny's bat is so much better than huff .. I just read another article in the paper about this mets trade there really pushing it I don't know does that mean this won't happen
  5. Huff ($6.75 million) and Baez ($4 million) in the last years of their contracts. manny at 20 mil this yeasr would mean an excess of 9.25. A couple mil for damon's raise and 3/21 deal for ryan to close . imagine what that bullpen would look like ryan-closer foulke baez timlin delcarmen dinardo and hansen coming probably mid year from AAA our pitchers could pitch 5 innings and I'd still feel confident
  6. that lineup looks great, much improved defense wise but the pitching is the great if I know schill is a natural but all my eggs are in his basket next year because their is no where else to turn schilling wakefield clement arroyo papelbon
  7. I just heard another three way trade rumor or variation of an old one dany baez, aubrey huff, from TB ,prospect milledge , and cameron They then would spin cameron ,wells to arizona for Glaus
  8. I would do david wright and milledge in a second we would have to pay them pennies and would free up a boatload . I agree manny is worth something big I just think they are showing their hands to early. as long as two to three teams are bidding for him such as angels, mets, dodgers then we should get some good return but if the mets are the only buyers out there where going to get stiffed big time
  9. milledge has much more upside from moss and murphy I'd like to see moss be a 4th OF but that's about it. Oh to answer your question yes I would trade off cameron and i don't know about youkliis i kind of forgot about him-I just don' see much upside with him ,either that or i'm predujice against people with horseshoe heads but i would prefer to use renteria at 3rd base hanley at ss
  10. what do you think it would take to get glaus ???
  11. cameron switched to right field last year didn't he when beltran came in .. so damon in cf and cameron in rf then nixon in LF Glaus at first in a trade with arizona--(( they needed to dump him for two reasons his position is already taken by the new wave of rookies tracy etc.. and he is going to cost them way too much money .. they'll save about 5 mil by taking wells and someone like shoppach would be a good fit as their backup catcher Your right about milledge he won't start until 2007 but that lineup looks to be pretty good damon hanley ortiz glaus tek milledge nixon--- get rid of nixon for someone younger in FA but that's next years talk rent pedroia
  12. I think this trade is well worth it Cameron, heilman, milledge for manny plus you get the 13 million to get a player such as konerko or glaus that has some pop. the way things are going I see it being glaus with a trade of wells and prospect. This gives next years team a better bullpen a better defense albeit a worse offense but most importantly it gives you a great 2007
