  1. piniero pitched a scoreless inning today too, just read the article on redsox.com but i cant remember if it was hitless or not
  2. AL East:bos Cen: det west: oak wc:cle NL east: phi cent:cubs west: LA wc: atl
  3. i disagree with that fred, i don tthink curt is that big into loyalty or staying where he is a legend, he wants to play for as long as he can, if he gets more years/more money somewhere else i have not doubt he will take it, this isnt arroyo we are talking about, there will be no hometown discount. IMO June is the real deadline unless he does s***** and then we wont bother resigning him anyway.
  4. third base, outfield are my favorites to play, then cause of my height i find myself at first a lot, but my favorite part of playing is throwing a man out from a long distance, and hitting the ball as hard and far as i can, i dont try at all to get any better though so im not too good
  5. i agree i dont see this happening without top prospect helton and money coming to us for just manny, either that or helton and top prospect for just manny (no money switching sides) and players union and helton give the go ahead to try and restructure the deal to make it shorter and a little less rich
  6. not to change the subject but... if this deal were to go through i got to figure its not manny for helton straight up with money switching hands, so who else would we be getting? ML ready prospect, someone a few years away with great potential? would the rockies be willing to give that up for manny? cause i dont think manny for helton is gonna cut it with theo, and it wouldnt cut it with the fans, in other words how much more realistaclly do the rox need to give if this were to happen?
  7. He wouldn't be closing every night so someone else would still have to step up into the part time closer gig. i dont think its worth sending paps into the bullpen and weaken the rotation to have him split the closing job with someone else to protect his arm, especially if his arm can stay healthy having his own spot in the rotation
  8. im with ORS saying that a lot of things need to go wrong for him to move back to the closers role this year, but two more things that should effect it is how much depth the starting rotation needs if people go down and papelbons arm is used to the short stints of the bullpen he isnt doing us any good. plus we have two guys that in the past two offseasons were speculated as closers of the future, bryce cox and craig hanson, hanson didnt show much last year but im with the majority saying that a year in the minors could really help him, say those two guys excel and are ready next year i cant see the redsox flip flopping paps another time, course there is the flipside that they both bomb and you need him, id rather a quality starter and find a reliever than than vice versa
  9. i dont like that pic much better, there he looks retarded
  10. piniero's beard looks like its growing on his neck not even his chin, thats nasty, i cant believe crisps finger even still hurts the small amount he is saying it does, none of that stuff worries me in the least except for the beard ill want to throw up every time i see him pitch, oh and by the way umaga is repping mr mcmahon against whoever the donald picks at wrestlemania
  11. im sure he meant cy young award
  12. is it gonna be free? if it is im interested
  13. well if i was kruck i would say 30 wins!!! but im not so im thinking 15-19 wins with an era of 3.33-3.73
  14. we actually have some pretty good names in the pen whether or not they return to form is obviously in question but just two years ago we were going to trade mueller for jc romero, the only thing we lack is a sure thing to be our closer but i think they can hold the types of leads our starters should be able to get for them
  15. remy and don even got rings so they were just handing them out
  16. how did you get yankees tickets if they arent on sale
  17. i think any deal were we can dump lowell and clement while the rockies pay for half of heltons contract (which is what the link above was saying) would be a steal, i dont like the idea of trading either of our top two prospects but anyone else would be worth it, especially considering how a couple of months ago it was rumored there would be a manny for helton deal
  18. i thought that was 8 tickets for each game, and i finally got in and got 4 for an 8/17 against angels and 4 for my birthday game in june
  19. wow high transaction volumes blow
  20. thank you
  21. how are you guys getting into multiple virtual waiting rooms? every time i try to add one it says its going to refresh my browser which i assume means that its just changing the game that im waiting for
  22. not yet
  23. This guy was a fan favorite and one of my personal favs just because of his heart, what i have more pride in my team for than anything. Hopefully he retires soon and gets a job with NESN
