  1. Thats good to see, he keeps keepin otehr teams to low hit-amounts, which is good
  2. muchos gracias
  3. Matsui should have swung at a pitch that's close to the plate
  4. Yeah, when all is said and done, you right, just I hadda blow off some steem, totally forgot what his stats were
  5. Yeah, the Sox are buying all the surrounding buildings/areas to accomodate the Park
  6. Well, most are hypocritical to the fact that we basically ARE most like the Yankees compared to any other team, I mean the Yankees just have the prestige to get players while we don't. Basically any team above 100 mill is kind of a Yankee team, just the Yankees go above and beyond that, and are better at playing that part.
  7. Yeah, but if we had an option that had Gonzalez's glove, speed, and a bette bat, we wouldn't need Gonzalez. This is basically the same senario. Maybe Stern is lacking a little speed and hardly any glove ability but we basically sacrificed 5 ABs in a game where every AB counts, especially because all offense was scored off HRs, if he was on for Papi's blast it wouldv'e been a 7-6 game, no extra innings, save Papelbon AND Foulke pitches.
  8. it makes no sense, he'd get ABs
  9. agreed, if that were part of the game, the game time would be extended an hour on all the things tha could be deemed "challengable"
  10. I still have no idea why Tito brought in Seanez, let him start the enxt inning, Foulke was on a roll and looked solid, espeically whle mixing in his slider. These kinds of loses suck, because they put us at somewhat of a disadvantage tomorow probably not having a closer in eitehr Paps or Foulke, so we'll be handcuffed if the situation arises. Also, the decision to send down Stern looked at it's worst tomight, as Willie did squat and looked overmatched in every .AB
  11. Yeah, it should be considered a good sign he's somewhat effective and his knees are STILL hurting. Also don't forget to nock off 2 runs from Wily Mo's error.
  12. Ellsbury is also doin good in Wilmington
  13. Well of course reliability comes with experience, but I think that's accurate as t the point of Delcarmen being a good set-up man in a few years.
  14. Yeah, unless you have wicked expensive seats, teh bleachers are kick ass no matter how high you are seated.
  15. This doesn't make sense to me at all, I mean unless they see something in Willie tha we don't IMO Stern gives us more lineup balance and better defense. Stern has played great and IMO is the best 4th OF we got, over Mohr and Harris.
  16. Good overall gam, good hittin night, especially for Youk. I thought there were a lot of good showings from the bullpen, and hopefulyl we won't have to rely just on Timlin and papelbon. I for one thik we can mix in Tavares and maybe Foulke in those set up times with Foulke taking save opp's when Papelbon is on the shelf.
  17. Yeah, I am very happy with this team, especially for what the future will bring. I mean Beckett, Lester, and Papelbon should form up well in the rotation in the enxt couple of years, and meanwhile, Pedroia will come up and take one of our MINF's spots. Also, now our OF could form up to be Crisp/Pena/Elsbury/Murphy with Moss also a possibility. Only thing we really don't have covered for the future is a C. C- ? 1B- Youkilis 2B- Lowrie 3B- Pickney SS- Pedroia LF- Pena (Less ground to cover) CF- Crisp RF- Ellsbury SP - Beckett - Lester - Papelbon - Bowden - Buchholz RP - Hansen - Delcarmen - Martinez - Meredith
  18. My stance is a lot like Nixon, except I crouch a bit more. My pitchin delivery is basically Arroyo's with a Pedro finish.
  19. I thought it was 10 days
  20. yeah, when youk got up i said to my guys "if he gets on, watch out for loretta"
  21. Yeah, he betetr pick it up, he's killin me in my fantasy league
  22. Yeah, I think if needed he could pitch well, and maybe be an Arroyo but with more consistency, because his pitches are more simple and without any special delivery or w/e. he could turn into a 13+ win with low 4 ERA, whcih wouldnt be bad to have in the pen
  23. Yeah, our keys to success have definately shifted with schilling doing great, and the sudden emergence of Papelbon as a lights out closer. I think the rest of our rotation (Wake, Clement, DiNardo) and our offense have got to stay formidable and not just depend on our stars to get the job done. Hopefully we won't get shut down by guys we haven't seen before, even though theyre usually average.
