    Interesting post JHB.... I was thinking the same thing , if the yanks get lowell he would be better off at 3rd base and Arod at first ( but of corse that would probly not happen ) . lowell is a way better defender than Arod . IMO it would be a waste if the yanks pay 60 mil for 4 years for lowell to play at first base

    EXACTLY, the fact that melvin led that team to the playoffs is pretty amazing , so is the season based on 21-22 games ?oh and the playoffs dosent count for the voting if it was, tito would have won it easily in the AL

    what difference does it make? hurdle had better players and barely made the playoffs , melvin didn't have that great of a team and still managed to win the NL west and why didn't hurdle win the division? cause he's not that great of a manager

    hurdle had way better players IMO and i dont agree with wedge , tito IMO made all the right moves this year

    their ERA was about same, WHIP the same, beckett had a better K/9 and OPPBA , CC had better K/BB , the IP was the difference

    too bad the CY has nothing to do with the playoffs , CC won because of his IP , wich cost him big time in the playoffs , he was tired

    what makes you think that carlos pena would of been still playing here if we didn't make that trade ? you cant count his numbers on this

    beckett had 5 more starts than burnett , we only won the al east by 2 games , without beckett I dont think we win the east ,wich means we dont get home field advantage wich is a big + for this team

    Why not? id rather have Cabrera at first than youk , can you imagine the lineup if lowell resign and we get cabrera ellsbury pedroia ortiz ramirez cabrera lowell drew varitek lugo
