IMO for a pitcher to win the MVP , he really has to blow away his competition . otherwise, an everyday player should win it , especially this year as Bautista and Ellsbury had fantastic seasons.

No he didn't , not even close. I'm sorry , but if Pedro couldn't win it in 1999-2000 ( when he blew away the competition more than verlander did this year ) then this is a complete joke.

Such Hypocrites on this boards. Last year when Crawford was signed , almost everyone was excited about it and was all praising Theo about it . Crawford turns to s*** in 1 year and half the people who we're all for Crawford are now against it and blaming Theo for it . the same would of happen if papelbon would have been signed .

Yes really, Madison is good but he's no Papelbon. If Madison can fetch what he did , Papelbon will have a slightly better deal elsewheres

Give me a list of better RF in the AL in the last 5 years , do it . I guarantee the list will be short. Very short

ONLY 1 RF HAD A HIGHER OPS THAN 825 THIS YEAR IN THE AMERICAN LEAGUE . ONLY 3 THE YEAR BEFORE . That tells you right there we had one of the best playing that position.

No you didn't . compile his 2008 and 2009 numbers and get back to me . Drew had an OPS as a red sox of 825 ( including his las year witch was awfull ) Take last year out and its damn good
