  1. FFS. MLB should refund their subscribers certain amount per game or lower the price moving forward. f***ing garbage. You need like 6 subscriptions to watch TV now.
  2. Hitters cannot step out anytime they want. They only have 1 time out to call. Otherwise if they step out they need to be in the box in a certain time or else there's a violation
  3. Toronto just lost. Cincy walked it off in the 9th
  4. Hate these apple games. I can't even watch it with my MLB subscription
  5. I'll they don't take 2 of 3 from the Yankees minimum, stick a fork in them
  6. If Casas played like he currently has in the 2 months he would have 100BB in a year . Remember he had a slow start to the year
  7. How so? He goes up to the plate and swings for 500 foot homeruns. He's been the same and it doesn't look like its going to change. You also don't give out a massive contract to a player who only hits. Unless he hits to a tune of 950+ OPS year in and year out and he's not that guy. He's no David Ortiz at the plate. This was a massive overpay and will come back to bit them. If he took an approach like Casas he would be a beast at the plate but that's not hit style. He should be walking around 100 times a year instead of swinging at garbage pitches to launch them 500 feet.
  8. Casas could be a better hitter than Devers and you want to get rid of him?
  9. You think the ownership will allow this to happen? It would just be admiting another failure to them on this move to pay the man. At the end of the day, if you have to move your star player, that you just signed (it would be one thing if this was down the road) for massive money , it wasn't a good move to begin with.
  10. Why would they want to trade Casas? He looks like he's going to be good. He's showing good maturity already.
  11. Moving Devers at first makes the contract look bad. You've all said it before when I was comparing Devers to Matt Olson that Devers is playing at a more important position hence we can't compare him to Olson.
  12. Yes but Casas is just starting. He will obviously get better there. Where Devers is already peaked
  13. Ohtani is already starting to skip starts and being pulled earlier in games. He's gassing out. He won't last long term doing both.
  14. I wouldn't say front Runners. Freeman and Betts are quite even with Acuna right now. If Betts keeps this hot streak going he will pass him. It's a tight race for NL MVP. Matt Olson is getting in the picture now too
  15. Devers is -5 DRS while Casas is -4DRS. Casas is also going to improve while Devers has peaked already. So yeah, we have a better first basemen on the team and the way he's progressing with the bat he might be out performing him with that too.
  16. Sure, let's move someone else to play 3rd base because our 300M man can't field properly. This deal looks great already
  17. Let's let Betts walk away because we can't meet his demands but let's meet the demands of a 1 tool player for almost the same cost. Makes sense Sure, Betts deal like every other long term deals will probably suffer at the tail end but it will be way worse when they have to move Devers to DH because he can't field for s***. Like another poster stated here, in a few years they will probably be looking to move Devers and eat some cost doing so
  18. It's worse because we already have better first basemen then him on the team and he's a lot cheaper
  19. Devers at first? Jesus, that 300M deal will look a lot worse if that happens
  20. Going 6-4 in this 10 game stretch against all s*** teams is not very good.
  21. They are not catching Houston. Toronto is the only team they have a shot at and now Seattle is on their heels so they have to go past those 2 teams
  22. None the less he hasn't been the same pitcher. This could be Daniel Bard all over again
  23. His velo was AVG 96 in his bullpen year. It's now 93
  24. Putting Whitlock in the rotation probably ruined him. His velocity isn't what is used to be and his control
  25. He could have 100 BB's easily this year if he was patient and not swing for the fence on every pitch.
