  1. If the Yankees are smart they can get him for 180M. There's no market for Cano. No team that needs a second has the money to pay for him. Unless the Dodgers swoop in and snag him but I just can't see it.
  2. Yankee's interested in HGH Peralta. He'd fit right in.
  3. Theres obviously teams interested in Ellsbury but how many are willing to go 7 years.... I doubt there isn't many if any.
  4. Name me players with exceptional speed like Ells that did not fade away ( meaning lost a few steps) past 32 years old not named Rickey Henderson
  5. I'm not crazy about the new toy. If money had nothing to do with this I'd want Ells as the starting CF next year. You have to admit it would be quite a gamble to give Ells CC type contract.
  6. If the deal is for 4-5 years then it's fine because if he does decline fast it will only hurt you for a year or so. But if you go 7 he hurts your for more than just a couple mil a year, then it becomes 50-60 Mil.
  7. And victorino is a 13-15 Mil a year player. Around what Ellsbury should make. Thanks for proving my point.
  8. Lofton never swipped over 32 bases once he hit 32. Damon was converted to a corner outfielder. Damon also had power.
  9. No he's not. His game is around speed and he'll lose that quicker than if he had power. Do we have to mention CC again? As a matter of fact CC at the time he signed that massive contract had the better numbers and durability. Did you agree when they signed CC?
  10. I mentioned this earlier in this thread. If no one is breaking the bank he could be a red sox next year.
  11. If the player wants to play for a certain team he's not going to listen to the agent to take top dollar. We've seen this in the past.
  12. Ellsbury's 50 SB seasons are coming to an end. Unless Ells finds the power again from 2011 he will be useless in 3-4 years from now. That's to much of a gamble to throw 6-7 years for him.
  13. LOL... The Sox just won a WS and the "wake up Ben" have allready begun.
  14. Cherrington Also says he would like to keep Drew and is trying to re-sign him
  15. I wouldn't give Naps 40-50 MIL. I also wouldn't give more than a two year deal. 2/24 sounds about right.
  16. The non signing of Bay was the best thing to do, he fell off a cliff right after that year. I can see them being cautious with Naps. There's no sense to blow the bank on Ellsbury to repeat a Crawford fiasco. I'm sure if they don't get Naps, he'll have plan B
  17. How about Seguin, like I said earlier in this thread, bad move trading him.
  18. I'm up for a steak dinner and live closer lol
  19. LOL, I've been wanting to say this myself
  20. Puig is a headcase.
  21. Red sox offering a 2 year deal to salty worth less than 10mil per year.
  22. The Dodgers would most likely have to eat a little of that contract to trade him.
  23. Maybe the Sox can get Ellsbury cheap after all.
  24. Iggy had a higher obp in large part to his Lucky ass infield singles. He had an insane amount of those that will hard to duplicate next year.
  25. It appears that the Mariners are not going to blow the bank at Ellsbury according to reports now.
