Anways, I think we win tonight. This would be a good time to put together a little winning streak before heading back to Fenway. There is so much negativity surrounding this team, so winning would do alot to alleviate it. I say Beckett goes 8 tonight allow 2 runs. Gonzo and Youk homer and the Red Sox win 7-2.

Something is slightly wrong with Jon's mechanics and it's been like this for the last year and a half. He isn't going to be a number 1 unless he somehow rediscovers how to control the outside corner with his fastball like he used to. Every time he goes for the corner he flys open and the pitch goes up and away.

Lack of command killing Lester again

Does anyone else think that Lester has lost control of the outside corner fastball to RH bats? I remember in 2009 he painted 95-97 on the black to RH hitters consistently, am I crazy to think that he has lost this in someway?

I hate pitch count limits, I'm already depressed that Lester will only go 6-7 max...

Lester since 2008 K/9 BB/9 2008 6.5 2.8 2009 10.0 2.8 2010 9.7 3.6 2011 8.5 3.5 2012 6.4 4.8 (SSS) It hasn't been a huge trend for Lester, but these numbers have been creeping the wrong way for him since the end of 2009. Especially last year, I just felt like his command was off for a great part of the year, I wonder if something mechanically has change with him?
