    I'm a little worried about our situation right now, I think we could wind up going in a funk with Ortiz, Dice, and Ellsbury on the DL and with Pedroia and Lugo playing like corpses.

    With no Jacoby, what exactly are we gonna do other than that? It isn't like Pedroia is showing signs of getting a pulse anytime soon. He is a corpse right now.

    A couple surprises. Lester and Edwin Jackson? I didn't even notice Jackson. I mean, they both got what equates to a one game suspension, and I think Lester has a good chance to have his over-turned, but still surprising none the less.

    Yeah, not gonna lie, feelin' a little hoodwinked over here. Nice avatar btw, I was there yesterday and when it happened, that dodge he put on shields looked like some Neo-esque s***. I loved it.

    Definitely. edit - wow movie quotes in back to back posts has to be against some sort of unspoken rule. as good as the lebowski is, I had to edit this. Shame on me.

    Yeah, I do. Or at least, I'm willing to acknowledge that the media portrayal of Manny as this good natured easy going (read: stoner-esque joker) dude, might not be as true to life as we might all sometimes think. He is an athlete, who lives in that clubhouse as a second home with 25 other dudes for 6 solid months. Everyone lets stuff get under their skin, even Manny, and I think everyone has their boiling point.

    Apparently, even though I do like the idea of pudding-gate, the entire team has grown pretty tired of Youk always throwing bats and helmets etc. after an AB. In a game when you fail 7 times out of 10 in a successful major league season, there really isn't room for that crap so I can't say I don't see it as selfish macho-crap... cause... I do. I've always wondered why Youk behaved that way when the team is winning, I can see it when we lose for prolonged stretches and what not, but why when we are in first place? Meh. Either way, I guess Manny takes particular exception. edit - got all this info from espn.com, so who knows if that is the issue, but it makes good sense to me

    Lets keep up that thing we've been doing pretty consistently in Fenway. Do it. Fat Boy vs. Boy Wonder. Hernandez (3-5, 3.29) v. Colon (3-0, 3.50) It's nice to see Hernandez pitching like we all thought he would. He was dominant against the tigers, but this ain't no cat and mouse game in Boston. Put up or shut up, king felix, we've been ok at fenway, and we're pretty fired up if you didn't notice. Heres to hoping Paul Pierce put in a call to Manny about getting over some knee trouble and he and Youk can put aside what I'm going to call PuddingGate. WIN. How 'bout a little man-up mojo from pierce and coco? We're a little banged up, but we have the other right handed dough boy going tonight. Man up.

    Yeah, I'd be interested to see a teams avg. runs per game vs. their avg runs per game when a certain pitcher is on the hill. I definitely think it boosts morale no matter what level you are playing at.

    Lol, I know a guy who roomed with Craig Hansen at saint john and over the past couple years I've been in situations where I could have met him, hes good friends with this kids little brothers we used to talk to him online because he is dumb as a doornail and he'll talk to anyone. That picture you have of him got someone sued for an absurd amount of money because I guess the guy was taking these pictures when they were out partying, he puts them on his computer and makes a fake facebook profile with all of these pictures of this one night out partying and a few other ones that were floated around the web and craig was none to happy I guess and when he ran into this kid they got in a pretty decent fight, and ended up settling it in court. so there is my craig hansen story.

    The key is to find sluggers facing soft tossers of opposite handedness (dont know how else to say that) , I got to 9 - i think i know i was up there, 7,8,9 something terrible to lose with - last year and then I had JD Drew and he hit a home run, into the monster seats, but it came back into the field and the umps inexplicably ruled it a ground rule double some how. I was soooo mad. The next day I started a new streak too so I would have had 11 I think.
