I like this move. If our pitchers are healthy, we should have a very nice rotation and a very nice bullpen. Now, get a quality CF/SS/Leadoff man and we are still a contender.

I don't think that trade is realistic at all. Tampa would never do it. Lugo, Huff, Gathright for Hielman, Seo, Matsui. They'd never do that.

at first I thought it didn't involve Marte, which still wouldn't be great, but Manny/Clemment for Tejeda/Gathright is better then almost any trade I've seen. Too bad it has Marte.

The Daily News is reporting that some sources are telling them of a talked about, yet far-fetched 4-way deal with the Sox, D-Rays, Mets, and O's. This is how it would break down... Sox get Joey Gathright and Miguel Tejada O's get Julio Lugo, Matt Clement, and possibly Kris Benson Mets get Manny Ramirez and Danys Baez D-Rays get Andy Marte, Jae Seo, Aaron Heilman, and Kaz Matsui According to the article, on exec of a team involved called it "far-fetched" but another said they were ready to float it out there. One other note from the article is Baez doesn't want to setup and 2 Met sources said they would "absolutely" not part with Heilman for Baez.

I'd definitely get Millwood. I don't care what kind of hitting other teams have. A staff's top 3 of Schilling, Beckett, and Millwood would be unmatched in the AL. Pitching > Hitting
