I heard somewhere that's something they'll look into in the off-season although I'm not sure that wasn't just someone pushing his own agenda

I can only speak to a certain extent since I didn't see it but I'd be shocked if they were intentionally trying to bean him in the head, that's about the biggest no-no in baseball

Just wait until you get hit there once your balls actually drop, then you'll really be able to sympathize -
I think this team can and will hit enough to be a serious contender, as long as they play Lowell at DH more often than not. I'll take the improved defense at SS. If you take Kotchman at first, Youk at third, Gonzalez and short and Pedey at second, that's very formidable infield defense. Ellsbury - CF Pedroia - 2B Youkilis - 3B Martinez - C Bay - LF Drew - RF Lowell - DH Kotchman - 1B Gonzalez - SS That lineup should hit pretty well.

I think Gom plays a pretty big part in the dynamic of this board. Rarely do I ever agree with the toxic gunk that spews off his keyboard but I read it more often than not. -
Woodward was simply an emergency backup for Green otherwise the only other option would have been Gil Velazquez

Tony Mazzzzzz is reporting that the Sox have acquired him. What they gave up is unknown. He's owed $2 mil with a $6 mil option for 2010. Expect Woodward to take his two HBPs right on out of town
