    I don't care for inconsistent umps either but I don't mind umps that alter the strikezone. part of pitching is learning what you'll get from a specific umpire Schilling is starting to get his strikeout rate back up even though his velocity is still not there

    Maybe he was just being overly aggressive due to the fact that he was coming off a blown save cause his velocity was there. if his velocity was still at 93-94, then id be worried about a shoulder problem

    yea, its MLB.tv and I guess the only painful part of listening to other team's announcers is the fact that they've gotta inform their audience about the opposing team so you wind up hearing things about the Sox that have been regurgitated 1,000 times before. yea, Wakefield started as a 1st baseman with the Pirates, I get it
