  1. im sorry but I factor in arm strength when talking about CFs and im shocked no one else considers that
  2. then thats your problem. youre used to seeing a record-setting offense. you have lofty expectations
  3. its not a piss poor offense. theyve had dry spells but f***, even the yankees have as well. theyve hit well lately and tonight, theyre running into the guy they can never hit
  4. Kazmir looks on tonight as opposed to the last time we faced him
  5. Here's another one outed by the Sports Illustrated probe http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/baseball/mlb/09/09/drugs.probe/index.html
  6. I like that. Cabrera is a bum and what he did was bush league. He didn't even own up to it after the game
  7. its a nice moment that YES did they best to f*** up. the announcers should provide the back story then shut up for like 25 seconds with a close up on his father. dont yap throughout the shot and use a f***ing telestrator to point out the tears on his cheek
  8. is there really anyone you wouldn't take over JD Drew right now?
  9. thats just about the best non-Manny lineup we can put out unless you put Keilty over Drew
  10. im guessing Lugo sits tonight since Cora owns Cabrera
  11. shut the f*** up. god this president of RSN thing is annoying
  12. another massive black eye for baseball
  13. I'm hoping Wake was simply on a strict pitch count
  14. his power numbers are nice but thats about it. Pedroia trumps him easily
  15. Buchholz was key tonight. pitching a no hitter is great in a blowout but coming in for multiple innings of relief during a 6-6 game when the bullpen was worn is a hell of an accomplishment
  16. is it symbolism that when the kids are carrying the team right now, Millar goes down looking to end the game?
  17. in what situation this season would you rather have Manny over Lowell?
  18. bad luck for Lugo, good bunt too
  19. im officially done with Drew
  20. I'd like to see how he comes back from the sore back
  21. please, find the quote where I generalized all women as knowing nothing about sports.
  22. Right, but the difference between the Nomar deal and the Ortiz signing and granted, the mistakes the FO makes as well, is that there's always logic behind the moves, there's always some kind of reasoning. If the Tampa FO signed Pena and plugged him in as a starter from the beginning of training camp, then tip of the cap to them. They saw something in him no one else did. But they cut him and brought him back when they had no other choice. They had a horseshoe up their ass as far as that move does. It's like the girlfriend who joins a football pool, picks the teams who have the prettier logos and wins it over the guys who know their stuff. Blind luck.
  23. Theo's job is to make smart baseball decisions, he isn't paid big money to be a f***ing fortune teller. When an AAAA ball team cuts him, every other team passes on him and that AAAA brings him back ONLY because someone got injured, what does that tell you about what EVERYONE in baseball thought about Carlos Pena? Using the fact that he makes big money is such a stupid argument when expecting him to foresee something no one could have possibly foreseen.
