  1. Let's hope Bronson settle's down.
  2. We'll be fine without him.
  3. And the sox own Contreas.
  4. Somebody seetened the pot !
  5. I could live with it, if we get AJ.
  6. Riverside, any chance of an update for today ? Great stuff keep it coming ( could be Bronson's last start ).
  7. This is really starting to hot for sports in NE. I'm loving it.
  8. Buy hey remember, these teams aren't always the same each year. Some just start out poorly ( Carolina last year ), lose players to injury or free agency. There always seems to be some new hot teams, some underachivers, and the "power houses" . Thank God we have one of the latter.
  9. Amen to that ! But in a way it's like the line from Brian's Song ( the original ) that says " I want to beat you at your best, otherwise it doesn't mean anything, becaue people will just say I got in on a pass ".
  10. Schilling has stated that he's ready to start ( according to him throw about 100 pitches ). But, as we've seen before sometimes his "can do" and "bull dog attitude" has led to problems. I love the guy, but he should remain where he is till mid-August or Setember ( when the roosters expand ). This would probably be best for the team and Schilling.
  11. If Steinbrenner applied his business sense ( and let the professionals he hired do their job ), he wouldn't have the problems he has. But he can't help himself, being the ego maniac he is. Hence, the road to self destruction. He's not a baseball man and doesn't have the consumate tools to evaluate and improvemt the team by himself. Its like a poor poker player with a bad hand throwing more money at the pot, it doesn't work.
  12. Nevin has a limited no trade and one of the teams on the list is the O's. I understand he's used this clause before to block a previous trade. So no trade, unless he waives clause. You might also have noticed Ponson pitched ( although not well ) for the O's last night.
  13. What did go 3 for 4 ( HR, double, and a single ), not till long now.
  14. Also mentioned on Channel 4, Bob Lobel says official announcement to follow.
  15. It'l be nice having infield flexabilty come August.
  16. Don't know what those were, but NEVER my intention to cause grief or aggrovation to anyone. I have a sign on my garage that reads " Not to Worry ", which is basically my credo. My job is to solve problems not create them. But, shouldn't I have an opinion ?
  17. Exactly, if you know what you want and wait for the right auction, you can get a reasonable deal. Got four tickets on Mother's Day in 406 Club for below face value. Also, with the advent of ticket@home it's possible to grab tickets the day before or even the day of the game at discounted price ( although there is a slight risk- check feedback and rating ).
  18. Thanks, that's my point.
  19. Hey, I'm not putting any down. I was just trying to give alternatives for some people that may not know where they can tickets and or can afford them. If I sounded that way I'm sorry, but I didn't dictate the current Red Sox market for tickets. The point being that if you got the money you can get tickets at a number of sources ( at a premium of course ) otherwise you have to get to Yenway early. It's that simple.
  20. Time is money, you have to spend one to get or save the other. So you can spend more time at work and make the money and buy tickets at beginning of the season via Sox ticket sales, buy tickets on line at eBay, Stub Hub, scalpers, or go early get tickets and make a day out of it. But don't say you can't get tickets.
  21. I was really looking forward to see what he could do. Too bad he got injured last year. With his speed he's almost a big wide out.
  22. Graffanino looked pretty good.
  23. My prayers to your nephew and a generous and caring move by Johnny.
  24. Yup, I'd say the Pats have definately messed with Peyton's mind !
  25. You guys do know that the Sox usually hold-out 500- 1000 tickets to be sold on game day.
