  1. fuhk my life http://www.fmylife.com/
  2. a smash by lugo, he got robbed.
  3. i just hate the way lugo looks
  4. Dipre.... we cant have a DH hitting .195 with 1 HR 33% of the way through the season. AAA wont help him, hes already shown that he will get blown away from 88 MPH fastballs. Hes toast, its a sad thing to see with all the things hes done with us.....but its time to take ole yeller out back for a bullet to the head.
  5. I dont know for what....but your welcome kilo haha.
  6. .200 doesnt look any better at 6 than it does at 3. You expect more from a number 3 hitter obviously, but a DH who hits .200 is not a good fit anywhere in the lineup 1-9.
  7. I thought that was funny too, that he was a player in the PCL "looking" for a team to play for, like he was a hot commodity and teams were clamoring about him: Or when he talks about how he cant wait to get to Pawtucket, like he has a choice, or the fact that he talks about Pawtucket as a career advancement, when in fact they are both AAA teams:
  8. I said this on 5/9. I still think he will be on the Sox radar. He will cost us nothing but spare parts, and his defense is superior to Lugo/Green.......and that is the biggest concern with SS for us.
  9. Maybe getting a couple of extra base hits will relax him a little at the plate so he isnt so excited to swing at the first pitch. I think what Ortiz needs to do is stop looking towards the stats in centerfield. Concede to the fact that overall, statistically this season is a lost one (by his standards) for him. Time for him to say f*** the stats....start over, starting today...move forward and put together the best possible season you can with the remaining months. Just because he isnt going to hit 50 HR, be on the allstar team, and be in the running for MVP doesnt mean he cant be productive (and this is coming from someone who called him toast, but I pray Im wrong, and my heart wants me to be wrong).
  10. Didnt see the game 2nite, had to work. I see he had some good results including his first homer. Can anyone tell me how his swing looked? I dont care if he goes 0-5 as long as his swing is starting to look better.
  11. Tuuka Rask.
  12. I applaud your support, and you are a true sox fan by throwing in that post, you are a supportive sox fan.....but, The writing is on the walls, David Ortiz is done as a professional baseball player. Since the trade of Manny Ramirez, the findings in the steroids drama, the Manny Ramirez steroid results......Ortiz is finished. Hes been brutal. To throw further salt in the wound, who knows how old he truly is? Either way, hes over the hill, past his prime, cooked, yesterdays news........hes over and out, through.
  13. Ortiz is done, hes f***ing done....its not knee jerk, its not based on 1 performance, hes done....he has nothing left and almost anything is an improvement.....hes is atrocious, pathetic, poor at the dish. Its embarrassing at this point.
  14. Cant wait to see what he can do. I really see him succeeding, he was not rushed like other bullpen prospects of our recent past, and there is no pressure on him, since he is not going to be expected to be "the man".
  15. I hate you Papelbon.......brings back the days of Slocumb (1996 version).
  16. Ok, but amongst those.....lets start from 1993 on... 1993 Fernandez .306/.361/.442 1994....cancelled bc of strike 1995....you mentioned 1996 Jeter .314/.370/.430 1997 Renterria .277/.327/.340 1998 Jeter .324/.384/.481 1999 Jeter .349/.448/.552 2000 Jeter .339/.416/.481 2001 Womack .266/.307/.345 2002 Eckstein .293/.363/.388 2003 Gonzalez .256/.313/.443....gold glover 2004 Cabrera .294/.320/.465 2005....you mentioned 2006 Eckstein .292/.350/.344 2007...you mentioned 2008 Rollins .277/.349/.437 12 of those players are better than the 3 you mentioned.....12 to the 3 you mentioned....maybe theres more to it than you think.
  17. Vizquel signed a minor league deal with Texas for the 2009 season. As far as Lowrie, hes a nice player, but not him or Green or Lugo or Vizquel are the long term answer to the revolving door that is SS for the Boston RedSox. Kilo, there really is no right or wrong answer between the three players we are talking about. All of them are below average major leaguers, its really a matter of preference I guess since none of them are really all that much of an improvement of each other. A question to maybe take this thread in a new direction, do you really believe Lowrie is the future, or just the guy slotted to play SS this season, since every year its somebody new?
  18. Im sorry, I just dont see it. Lugo: Terrible at everything......just sucks, awful. Green: Has never proven anything at any level. a 263BA/324OB%/432SLG/756OPS career minor league hitter, which is embarrassing that he even wears a Sox uniform. Vizquel, at least has a track record (haha, a very very long one) and can still get it done with the glove. Maybe your right, maybe 3 shitbums don't equal 1 quality player......I just dont like the options at SS right now, and not many people should be happy with what we run out there every day when your talking about a premier position (SS) on a premier ballclub.
  19. Especially with Tuuka Rask waiting in the wings after his dominate season in the IHL, he has nothing left to prove there.
