  1. I have to say.....at least in this site you are able to speak your mind. I used to post messages over at Fanhome and you are warned for EXPULSION if you use the word damn.
  2. Yankees fans saying that Chris House (the fan who grazed Sheffield) punched Sheffield are the same people who say they saw flying saucers over their house last night and who believe in magic beans and pots of gold at the end of the rainbow. as for one of the Yankees fans responses that the rest of the country agreed with the notion that it was the fans fault let Irish Jay tell you that ESPN does not count as the rest of the America. ESPN is amazingly biased towards athletes. just take a look at how much they praise Kobe Bryant the accused rapist while on the other hand they ruined John Rocker's career.
  3. I am convinced that the league is afraid to punish Sheffield. First off, he gets two games for taking an absolute tantrum for being called out at 1rst base against the Mets last week, while other players are given 4-6 games for tirades much less aggressive than that. Second of all I don't care what anyone says, the big baby over reacted totally when the fan at Fenway reached over and grazed his hat. Sheffield leaned in to the stands and threw a shot at the fan and the league applauded him for his restraint?????!!!!! Meanwhile as usual MLB not giving a damn about it's fans who support the game were very happy when the Red Sox brass kicked the guy out of the stadium for a season and revoked his season tickets. as a matter of fact the league encouraged the Sox to ban the guy from the park. There most defnitely seems to be a bias from the leauge when it comes to discipling the Carl Everett of the Yankees. It will make it that much better when he really does have a total meltdown and then the league will realize the mistakes they made by never giving him a stern punishment in the past.
  4. Olerud and Nixon should be every day players. Millar is a mediocre player at best.
  5. How about the Cleveland Cavemen!? Maybe the Tokyo window washers. i don't want to see Damon go to another major league team if he leaves the sox.
  6. Thanks Yaz.....sorry for the late reply I haven't been around much. nice user name btw.
  7. How are we suppose to expect the Sox to be a legit contender this season when they are 2-7 against a below average team such as the Blue Jays? Are they still in 1rst place? Sure. However only because of the attrocious play from the Yankees and Orioles. As of late the Orioles are having a harder time scoring than a nun in a convent! The Red Sox MUST come out and soundly defeat Toronto in these next two games if they want to continue to have the fan's interests. The bullpen has been sickening to watch this year and Francona continues to pull off his best impression of Mayor Thomas Menino for acting like a bumblin, stumbling, stuttering fool.. Why Francona insists on playing Millar over Olerud is puzzling. Terry seems to think this is little league. Terry is friendly with Millar so therefore he starts Millar over a player like John Olerud who is far better both offensively and defensively. When will Tito learn that Trot Nixon needs to be an every day player?? Enough of this Nixon can't hit lefties crap. Nixon is batting 300 against lefties this year. As a matter of fact Nixon is batting better against lefties this year than Millar!!! Nixon is a heart and soul type of player and his presence not being in the lineup from day to day hurts morale and play.
  8. I would never count the Yankees out of it....they have a great lineup and even though their pitching has been suspect they still can get white hot at any given time. Jeter will always be a very clutch player and they are always capable of rattling off 8 or 9 straight.
  9. Hello Red Sox fans... I am a 26 year old lifelong Red Sox fan from right in Bosotn itself...I am born and raised in Dorchester Mass and I come from a very passionate sports family. I was very pleased to see Philly sounding and looking like Fenway park.. Philly fans are about as civilized as a cave full of Bin laden foot soldiers in Afghanistan!!!!!! I can't wait til Schilling returns but you have to give Wakefield a lot of credit.....he has been the go to guy this year. how about manny's slam yesterday!! it looked like a routine fly ball at first and carried over the wall!!
