  1. Looks like we're going to make another hack look like Johan Santana. Wonderful.
  2. f*** DA BOOLCHEET AND WIN!! It's time to left-face out the the crappy play they've been executing lately. Who's gonna lead the march? Gunny Hartman, that's who. SOUND OFF LIKE YOU'VE GOT A PAIR!!! http://fildefer.hautetfort.com/files/fmj-hartman.jpg
  3. Do you guys ever get tired of the "He'll cool off" prediction? Seems like you've been saying it all year about Ortiz and Papelbon without much success. EDIT: Jeter's having a stellar season, arguably more valuable than Ortiz', but he won't win it with those numbers. Don't worry though, I'M SURE HE'LL COOL OFF.
  4. The experiment failed in '03 because they lacked a true relief ace. Papelbon is, without doubt, a relief ace, so perhaps they could try using him in high-lev spots that happen before the 8th inning. That said, nobody has been consistent enough to make me feel confident about the end of the game if he is used earlier.
  5. He was a big part. Having the bottom half of the lineup go 0-13 with a GIDP was just as important. Actually, throw Youk in there too. Spots 5-9 went 0-17.
  6. Damn. f*** that noise. 6-9 killed this game.
  7. Javy. Yard. I'm calling it.
  8. Hindsight Statement: Should have sold high on Hansen. Nothing to back it up other than what I see, but he may not have the head for this gig. Nothing about him says confident, not now, not ever.
  9. Hansen has looked pretty crappy his last couple of outings.
  10. Are you kidding me? The catcher and RF both get a SB in this game? The Sox do nothing to stop the running game.
  11. If you know who does you know what to win this game, then WMP and Kappy get big attaboys. The walks they drew were huge because they flipped the lineup.
  12. Fausto Carmona just gave up a 2-out solo shot to IRod to tie at 3. Papi broke him. EDIT: Sorry, that was a 2-run walkoff.
  13. Especially if Manny does that afterward.
  14. Oh well, I thought we might have a chance with their 'pen, but now I see Julian "White Flag" Tavarez on the hill........... HOLY s***! That's a hell of a play to double up Carl "Splendid Splinter and Georgia Peach" Crawford.
  15. Little bloop over Upton's head, Coco never slowed and Upton bobbled it a bit as he ran back to scoop it up.
  16. He was out. I'm going to thoroughly enjoy listening to these two asshats complain though. They whine louder than an air-raid horn when a call goes against the Rays.
  17. That slider started 12" outside. How do you get it into your head you are going to swing at that?
  18. Something. Anything. As long as it isn't about Crawford or Kazmir. Oh yeah, I was wrong before, they don't do this about Crawford every game. No, when Kazmir is pitching we get to hear the comparisons to Steve Carlton and Ron Guidry. ALL. GAME. LONG. Sucks carrying two injuries on the 25-man roster, because that means we have to watch Gabe bat against a righty. Thanks Camp.
  19. That's the book on Upton. Take advantage.
  20. Yeah, 24-26, but these f***tards fellate Carl Crawford for 3 hours in every game they call.
  21. Oh, and while watching this gem of a ballgame, I get to listen to Dewayne Staats, who looks like a poodle. Right now he's carrying on about how Carl Crawford his just as many hits by the age of 25 as Ted Williams. How do you put those two in the same sentence?
  22. Well Hollins has a shamrock shoved right up his ass doesn't he? If this team loses to the floudering D-Rays, on a day that the Yankees lost, and with JJ going tomorrow, then I'll be pretty pissed. They need to sack up and gut this one out.
  23. Boomer didn't get hit especially hard until the was deep into that inning. If his D didn't let him down, he's out of that inning without a run. EDIT: Typo made that sound a little dirty.
  24. Not well placed now. Now they are starting to rope them. Looks like we get to burn up some 'pen tonight with JJ The Jet Plane going tomorrow. Good thing Monday is an off day.
