  1. End of discussion? Open-minded people rarely end thoughts with that. Like it or not, there are several statistical measures that support the anti-clutch argument. That alone validates the counter-point to your belief. You don't have to buy it, but refusing to accept it proves my point.
  2. No, you brought it up, it was your idea, you need to own it. If you don't, that's even worse than if you make it and lose because you will have chickened out and put your foot in your mouth.
  3. Look at his late game splits. Not for just one season, but his career, afterall, he's clutch all the time right? Even if you don't put credence in those things, they are reason enough to make an argument valid. You don't have to buy it, but only an ignorant person would ridicule it. Jealous about fantasy football? Keep reaching. You were the one tooting your own horn, I'm just going with what you've put out there.
  4. Try reading what I said again. I didn't say you were ignorant for your opinion, but I did say you were ignorant for ridiculing the argument because there are valid points for either side. C'mon, a fantasy wizard like you can handle a little reading comprehension, right?
  5. The reasons were justified, and the reasons for doing it are what happend. Indy got trampled by the Jags running game, but Taylor got fewer touches than I envisioned. The G-Men have been good against the run with Alexander's TD only coming after the turnover put them on the doorstep. I'm sure you had your reasons for sitting Westbrook who's having a monster game.
  6. No doubt, they should be proud. But when they do it in my house, I'll take issue over that type of disrespect. About the part in red, what do you mean "if"? Given the way you act, there's reason to believe you are one.
  7. No, I'll save that sentiment for DelRio. The f***er gave a bunch of Fred Taylor's touches to Jones-Drew, who had a big game. I started Taylor because of Indy's weak run-D, which turned out to be a good move, only J-D got the bulk of the yards and Leftwich the only rushing TD. I sat Shaun Alexander because of his foot and the NYG run-D. Of course, Eli throws a pick and they have 1st and goal, you know who stuffs it in.
  8. I think Lugo would actually be a good fit in that regard. I shudder to think about his defense -- although with very good range. However, he gives the Sox a legit leadoff hitter with better speed than Youk and better OBP than Coco. The lineup could then go something like this.... Lugo Youk Ortiz Manny WMP Lowell Varitek Coco Pedroia If Varitek bounces back, he'll probably be a better #5 hitter than WMP. If Coco bounces back that is a very strong end of the order.

  10. Arizona's playing USC pretty tough, and Michigan St. is busting up what remained of the ND hype.
  11. Hey, you see the humor too. That's step in the right direction, so there's hope for you yet.
  12. Sorry, I might have been born at night, but I wasn't born last night. It was clear that he broke out of his slump after the first 41 plate appearances. I made that clear when I mentioned his performance since then. My only error was estimating the amount of ABs he's had since then - the total plate appearances were right on. For you to stubbornly hang on to 6 crossover ABs in order to act as though you have a clue about what you are talking about is completely comical.
  13. Whatever makes you feel better. You had no clue about those numbers and were talking straight out of your ass.
  14. Last 34 - the ones after the first 40. Excuse my error in rounding to 40. 11 hits, 4 BB, 1 HBP, 19 TB .326/.410/.559 EDIT: There was a HBP on 9/14 against Baltimore that didn't show up in the game logs. OBP has been corrected. And, that makes the TPA, the more important stat, 39 vs. 41 before that.
  15. I wish. They are closer to the postseason than we are and their rotation looks much better going into next year.
  16. He went 4 for his first 40, with several LDs right at people. Those are starting to find holes and he's hitting around .300/.400/.500 in his last 40 ABs. Do you allow no adjustment period to a new level? The shortsightedness you display is astonishing.
