  1. I don't think we are seeing .300/30/100 from Manny this year. Not the way he's looked this year. I think we will be lucky for .290/25/90, which isn't bad. But we are also going to see 25+ GIDP, and I think it's safe to say we were expecting 35+ HRs, 115+ RBIs, and an OPS near 1.000. For Drew I was expecting somewhere around 15-20 HRs, 90 or so RBIs, and an OPS around .900. When you make it relative to "expectations", the under-performance is looking like it will be something like this: Manny - 10 HRs and .120 OPS Drew - 8-10 HRs and .150 OPS To me, it's a close call who has been more disappointing when you consider what you thought you were getting. If we are talking just raw numbers, then sure, Drew will be more disappointing if we make the expectation equal, but did anyone "expect" Drew to come close to Manny numbers?
  2. 8 runs last time out. 7 tonight. All I can say is I hope he's hurt, because that blows.
  3. The Moose is loose, AHH OOOOGAAHHH!
  4. If Dustin can't get the bunt down, there's a guy perfectly capable on the bench in Cora. I know people hate taking the better overall player out because we may need him later, but you don't need him in the 10th if you fail in the 9th.
  5. I know. Still, with 4 years of options after he's back, it seems limited for a kid who will have to regain feel, and then start his development, when he's already a kid with question marks about makeup and reportoire. It's like taking Dan Bard and having him run through a field of fire with a gasoline suit on.
  6. Wow, they sign him to an MLB deal and he has to get TJS. That's cutting it close with his options considering the potential for this to delay his ability to be ready for the show. Interesting.
  7. Mailman needs to pan out just for the fun we can have with his name.
  8. Total agreement. When one run means you extend the game, and you have a runner on 2nd with no outs, you play for one run. Worry about scoring more than one after you get the one. They had already used up the good part of their pen. Glover, Wheeler, and a long inning for Reyes after a long inning last night, a night we didn't use Jima or Paps. We had a big advantage there that they pissed away.
  9. I'm not Gumby, dammit! My avatar is Larry the Cucumber from the VeggieTales. My kids love them, and I have to admit, Larry is one cool customer. The writing is good enough to be entertaining to adults who like high-brow humor, but tasteful enough (it is a religous group that created them) to be something you don't mind your kids watching.
  10. Timlin puts the fire out. Who'da thunk it?
  11. Josh Wilson, he just f***ing walked Josh Wilson. Stupid.
  12. Dude, Manny, can you not walk Josh mother-effing Wilson?
  13. HAHA, typical. BTW, thanks for ending the inning there by giving up the free out Tito. Ozzie would be proud.
  14. Better f***ing PH for the oaf.
  15. EX-LAX EX-LAX, xlax xlax xlax, xlax.....malcovich.
  16. B-More is pouring it the f*** on. 10-0, sacks full, one out.
  17. No Kazmir. Muchas gracias, Joe.
