  1. Looked safe at first......and he was...oops got the foot not the bag.
  2. I question the defensive alignment there. Sure he's a pitcher, but anyone can put one out there. Playing him deeper allows the soft single, but prevents the double. In a tight affair, I prefer to avoid leadoff XBH's.
  3. It's a shame the Cubbies dicked the dog against the D-Backs, because they are one of the bigger smoke and mirror teams I've seen in the postseason for a while. For f***s sake, they allowed more runs than they scored for the season. What do they do particularly well? Outside of Young, Webb, and the BP, the answer is not much. I suppose they pick it pretty well. I think the Cubs could hang with the Rox, but this is looking like a huge overmatch.
  4. Baldy has some killer stuff. Doesn't look like he has any idea where it's going, but it's impressive.
  5. If you ask me who I want to win this series, my heart will answer Colorado. My head says go D-Backs. Given a choice, I want no part of the Rox if the Sox advance. That said, we are playing as well as we have been all season, so I fear no team.
  6. Now he'll walk one in. What a sackless ****. Pussy ass frog bastard.
  7. However, if Eric le Belt-High-Middle-of-the-Plate-Fastball is what we get, then the game needs to 6+ runs difference for him to see action. Piss off, Whoopie.
  8. If Eric le Rouge can get his s*** together for two weeks it would be nice.
  9. 29/36 on base, 4 bombs, in 4 games. It's nice to have Hammer and Slammer clicking at the right time.
  10. Look at that outfield defense. This team can do it all.
  11. If you look back on it, Francona really is a good postseason manager. He seems to have his head up his ass in the reg season, but I think that may be due to him managing for the long haul. He's been excellent in October.
  12. I think they really ought to pull Beckett now. He's better than Wake for game 4, and more importantly, the extra day off in Cleveland puts him at regular rest for a game 7 if there is one. Do it, do it now.
  13. Manny and Tiz have 34 plate appearances in the playoffs. They've reached base 27 times.
  14. I think that is the way to go. Unlike stupid Pinella, we actually have a comfortable lead to do it with.
  15. Pull Beckett after one more (he's only at 80 pitches now) and pitch him in game 4 in lieu of Wake? EDIT: We were thinking the same thing, Ted.
  16. Surprised he gave up the ribbie to Ass-Dribble. Thought he was going to bear down and shut the door after the leadoff double.
  17. Lewis in the game? Interesting. Firing a bullet in what looks like a lost cause.

  19. Manny is locked in. This is fun.
  20. 3.5 games in, Tizzle has recorded just 2 outs. Nice.
  21. Nice. Kid's a monster in October.
