  1. Not nearly as sweet as the chuckle I get from Yankee fans thinking they can rub anything in when their season ended two weeks ago. Nope, not even a hint as sweet. Oh, and there you again with the Strawman Special. This series ended no illusion of "clutch" for me. There aren't big game pitchers, there are good pitchers who pitch well in big games. Always known that. There aren't clutch hitters, there are good hitters who hit well late in games. Always known that. Yeah, we know what you predicted, Gom. You've predicted 5 straight lost series for the Sox going back to last year. 1/5 if they go on to lose. Just like the Doc, it's no special feat when you are right, because you pick the same thing every time.
  2. I said they were hot, not smart.
  3. Bartlett, seriously? They always say the playoffs are about getting hot at the right time, and the Rays certainly did. Everyone is hitting right now.
  4. BOY is getting pissed. His attempts to make sure he capitalized and spelled correctly are out the window. He's back in form.
  5. Private forum, welcome to reality.
  6. Wow, you'll be gone soon, bigot.
  7. Oh quit talking about this guy being some kind of pitcher. If he doesn't have 4 supersized horseshoes shoved up his ass all year, he's the same slop machine that put up a 5.50+ ERA last year.
  8. Welcome to Sonnanstine's World, where every roped liner is within .001 degrees of angle from your fielders.
  9. Yeah, those 2090 t-shirts didn't have much shelf life, did they?
  10. When will this mongoloid with retard strength start playing like the no talent chump he is against this team?
  11. It's because he's stepping in the bucket with his sore oblique. Seriously though, yes. It's the reason he's a popup machine right now. Ellsbury's doing it too, and he's poping up frequently as well.
  12. Sonnastine's BABIP fairies came to play today.
  13. Lin would be skipping AA and AAA, without really dominating any A level. I know you were being sarcastic, but I want to address the whole "get rid of Ellsbury" thing. Outside of making a trade, there's no realy good chance for improvement this offseason. Nothing ready in house, nothing on the market. Not in CF. I think this is a good thing. His performance in the minors and his flashes of brilliance in the majors should be enough to warrant another look next year. I'm frustrated that he's struggling, but there's reason to think he can do more. Rookie mistake trying to be the hero, EDIT: (for Longoria).
  14. If it's over, you don't need to watch, and if you aren't watching, there's not much use in posting. Bye.
  15. I will say this. Robots. His chances of going into shut down mode aren't good if this is the strikezone. http://brooksbaseball.net/pfx/location.php?xml=http://gd2.mlb.com/components/game/mlb/year_2008/month_10/day_14/gid_2008_10_14_tbamlb_bosmlb_1//pbp/pitchers/123801.xml&batterX=0&innings=yyyyyyyyy&sp_type=1&s_type=3 Nothing is getting called at the bottom 4".
  16. He's getting it down in the zone. It's only 3 right now. Don't tell me none of you have seen Wake give up 3 or 4 and go into shut down mode. Put your panties back on, bitches.
  17. Not good. The ball is staying up.
  18. Williams is still an elite talent, but nobody could get him the ball. Detroit's offense was putrid. I can see a 1st for him, or a couple of mid round picks, but 4 is over the top. Detroit's finally doing this rebuilding s*** right.
  19. Irrelevant, you'll always be right when the injury is worst case scenario, because that's the one you always pick.....for the Sox.
  20. That's a good pick up. Damn. Although, this makes Williams viable on my fantasy team. Very viable.
  21. I think I take the risk and offer it anyway. No, nobody is going to want him at $8M per, but I could see a team going 2 @ $6M. And, I don't think it's the end of the world if he accepts, but his playing time needs to be reduced. Anyone familiar with the weighting system used to determine class rank? The thing that may suck is that he may have been good enough in previous years to get a type A rating, which will make other teams wary of signing him. I think someone may bite if he only costs money, but throw a pick into the mix and it might not get done.
