  1. Hah, thanks for hacking at ball 4.
  2. Bartlett's a little bush league bitch. Slap the tag down hard every time, Kotsay. On his head.
  3. Huh, go figure Skippy Sportcoat. The 3 loudest games were played indoors. Who would have thunk it. He leaned into it. BS, follow the rules, Blue.
  4. Extremely, it was well outside his established strikezone that had been fairly consistent up to that pitch (per pitch f/x).
  5. Tight collar there, Big Gay?
  6. Does Maddon walk Drew here? I do. He's on fire.
  7. Hey, Chip, does Upton ever just jog over?
  8. When did Big Gay James get his nickname? Seems to me, this is the first big game he's ever pitched. YOUK!
  9. Upton's feet need to be made to move. Simple as that. Petey did it in '04. Beckett needs Pedro's balls.
  10. "No team has ever, in baseball history, scored 8 runs against the Red Sox in the playoffs and the last two games the Rays scored more than 8 runs."

  12. If a naked gay guy jumped on your back, would you beat him off?
  13. Good point. I phrased that poorly. I drew attention to innings 1-6 because Tito is hands off like a manager should be, IMO. Scioscia launches into small ball far sooner in the game than is necessary.
  14. I realize there was no intent to start legitimate discussion with the thread. My comment about legitimate discussion was meant to indicate that he does engage in meaningful discussion elsewhere. It's clear what his intent was here, and therefore any and all comments directed his way are fair (in this thread) IMO.
  15. While Gom does take it on the chin well, that doesn't mean BS21 is wrong. What Gom did in the this thread is the very definition of trolling. Excusing it by saying he gets it back from us is misguided. It's Gom's fault for having to take it from us, he's on a Red Sox message board. Any and all Yankee fans should come here with the expectation that there will be things they don't like said about their team. I know I certainly don't expect to hear / read nice things about the Sox in the company of Yankee fans. Now, I prefer that this site allow it to occur provided the person involved engages in more than just stirring the pot trolling. I don't like sites like NYYFans who censor more thought than the KGB ever did. That said, I don't think any fan from any other team has right to complain about the comments they receive for trolling behavior here. It is what it is, regardless of how well they take it.

  17. I missed this game due to a project at work. I figured it was OK to miss it because there would definitely be a game 6 with Dice vs. Kazmir. While it didn't play out like expected, at least not in the starter matchup, the result was the same. Wish I hadn't missed it, but there's always the archive at mlb.tv. Oh, and we need some more war faces.
  18. http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Studio/8290/rodney.GIF RIP, Rodney. One of the legends of comedy, IMO.
  19. True, the players did fail to come through. For some of them, that was a game long failure as they went 0-6. The players who went 0-6 corresponded to the players who weren't big offensive contributors during the regular season. When those that a reasonable person would anticipate to fail do, in fact, fail in a late game situation, I have to assign some of the blame to the person that had an opportunity to try something different.
  20. Yeah. In other fantasy sports, they haven't put all contribution on a standard point scale. Therefore, you compete in multiple categories each week. It opens the door to more strategy than in FFB. In FFB you are pretty much handcuffed to the heavy component of the scoring system (yardage or TDs). In multi-category sports, you can focus on a set number of categories or go for a balanced approach.
