  1. Hah Ortiz's 3rd stolen base, career high in a season
  2. Make that 3 RBIs away from #100 for Deuce
  3. Pedroia follows up with a wall ball double, 40 doubles is within sight for his rookie year
  4. Last night it was Bucholz's day, today its Jacoby Ellsbury. This team is going to be very exciting to watch over the coming years
  5. Ellsbury goes yard for his first career jack!!!
  6. Holy... wow, this is what happens when a big game happens late in the season. Just seem to catch all the breaks while you have great momentum on your side --soft lineout to 2nd --fly out to right, runner thown out at home plate
  7. Lester walking the 1st 2 batters. That happened to Bucholz last night: strikeout, fielders choice, fly out f***ing hell, bases loaded no outs. Hey Tito rethink that comment you made "Clay will probably get another start, we just dont know when"
  8. The O's get their first hit after being no hit for the last 12.2 innings. The last hit was Jay Payton getting a single with 2 outs in the 7th of Game 1
  9. The Orioles game plan should be like JD Drew, leave the bat on your shoulder and Lester will do the rest EDIT: Lowell! He is now 4 RBIs away from #100
  10. Getting the day off today are Crisp, Lugo and Varitek. Drew makes his return to the lineup Cabrera this season vs Boston in 2 games, 0-2 with a 4.43 ERA. On the road in 12 games, 4-7 with a 3.85 ERA Lester this season at home in 2 games, 1-0 with a 2.08 ERA
  11. very lucky guy. The best games Ive been to were 2 walkoffs by Ortiz. His 3 run walkoff against BJ Ryan & the Orioles couple of years ago, and his 3 run walkoff against Otsuka & the Rangers last year
  12. Nope, if Wakefield is able to come back, Tavarez and Lester shouldnt get any starts for the rest of the season
  13. http://d.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/ap/20070902/capt.c20a302d63d943099d58931293b16fb8.orioles_red_sox_baseball_bxf110.jpg
  14. Roto again getting some facts mixed up. Breslow isnt a lefty specialist as he can be effective against both lefties and righties
  15. Predictions hold water. How did that one go of last week the Sox losing 2 of 3 or even being swept by the D-Rays turn out?
  16. Oh so that makes a difference then
  17. Greg Maddux at age 21 he was 6-14 with a 5.51 ERA, the losses were most by any rookie that season. He didnt fully come around until 2 seasons later
  18. Mirabelli has been activated from the disabled list. Kevin Cash will likely stay on board as the 3rd catcher September Callups Personally I wouldve rather seen Hughes get the call up over Corey. Royce Clayton, who's possibly a worse hitter than Alex Cora... over Bobby Scales, Jed Lowrie and Joe McEwing? The bench will now have 3 right handed options in the form of Doug Mirabelli, Kevin Cash and Royce Clayton
  19. Id say the biggest key for this team is to stay healthy. They been getting banged up for the past week now
  20. Varitek swings at back to back horrendous pitches (couldve been 3-0), DP. Sox cant overcome the hole Timlin put them in. Silver lining is that the Yankees lost, same time they couldve gone up 6 games
  21. Mora boots the ball! 9-8, cmon Varitek you just need a gapper
  22. Clay Bucholz vs Garrett Olson Jon Lester vs Daniel Cabrera
  23. This offense heading into September is almost like the one that ended the 06 season. As well as in 06 the injuries started to come in droves. Manny out indefinitely, Wakefield will miss 1 or 2 starts, Drew, Kielty is banged up, the jury is out on Pedroia who rolled over on his wrist and Coco after banging into the wall
  24. Thats nice, but still he will be a big reason if the Sox arent able to come back from a 6 run deficit tonight
  25. What? That doesnt negate the fact that Timlin has been back to being shaky and he left a hanging change up to a good hitter
