  1. Anybody know the best gasoline to use to set fire to a 'Johnny is my Homeboy' shirt?
  2. I don't have as many as I used to, but here's what I got... Simeon Rice (Bucs Throwback) Terry Allen (Redskins) Quentin Jammer (Chargers throwback) Priest Holmes (Chiefs) Peter Warrick (Bengals Throwback, kinda, but not their current, ugly, look) I don't like wearing the home teams jerseys. Too common -- I like to be different. Some jerseys that I want... 1994 Denver Broncos throwback Dark-- John Elway 1980 Houston Oilers Dark -- Earl Campbell 1985 Los Angeles Rams Dark -- Erick Dickerson 1989 San Francisco 49ers Dark -- Jerry Rice 1989 Atlanta Falcons Dark or Light -- Deion Sanders I'd also like one of the jerseys the Redskins wore a few years back -- don't care which player.
  3. My baffles me, in terms of cheering for rival schools. My friend, a "die-hard" UNC fan, informed me a few weeks back that he had found a 'Cameron Crazies' shirt he liked and wanted to buy. He has since become completely obsessed with Duke.
  4. MLB: Red Sox NFL: Denver Broncos/San Francisco 49ers NBA: Denver Nuggets NHL: Colorado Avalanche NCAA Basketball: UConn Huskies NCAA Football: Notre Dame Fighting Irish The Red Sox and Huskies because I'm originally from Connecticut. Denver teams because I live in Denver, now. Notre Dame because, being Irish, I was immediately attracted to them as a kid because of their name. A newer post reflects these same teams, I didn't realize I had already posted in this thread.
  5. I did give them love... I said they looked like a #1 team. Would you like me to say something to the effect of... "Duke was absolutely awe-inspiring. I spent most of the game watching, jaw dropped to the floor at what may just be the greatest team I've ever seen play. They are FAR better than any other team. Untouchable, in fact. UConn would be lucky if Duke let them carry their jocks -- because that's as close as them or Villanova, or any other team, is going to get." ... what I'm saying is exactly what the commentators said during the game. Call up CBS and get on them. Duke looked impressive, but it was even more about what Texas didn't do.
  6. I think that Texas game was an idication more-so of how much Texas is overrated than how good Duke is. Even with that, it was a Duke home game -- not by location, but by percentage of fans (Texas fans are more concerned with getting tickets to the Rose Bowl than a December College Basketball game) and it should have been a blowout with how bad Texas played. Not to say Duke didn't look like the #1 team -- but they're beatable, and UConn + Marcus Williams are certainly capable of giving them everything they can handle and beating 'em.
  7. Both teams doing everything in their power to lose the game. Fumbling on purpose, throwing perfect passes right to the other teams DB's -- the DB's then purposely dropping those passes.
  8. What the hell are the Jets doing trying to win? The scoreboard says they're winning... but they're losing the race for Reggie Bush.
  9. That's too bad for Martin. He's always been one of my favorites. I saw his Beyond the Glory and a kid, I believe it was after a practice, gave him an invitation to his birthday party -- Martin showed up at the kids party, and the two are still friends to this day.
  10. That's true, One Red Seat. A lot of them were bombs or were created by himself -- but PJ Tucker left Reddick alone way more than any team ever should. As for Texas, that team has a lot to learn on the defensive end before they can be considered a true contender.
  11. He'll be a Dante Hall type at the very, very least.
  12. He definetely deserved it. He's been amazing to watch.
  13. I'm an idiot who has to change his MNF score, so I'll go with 38... I don't believe I saw that. If it's already taken... then I'm still an idiot.
  14. I believe he was quoting my post. Unless you're talking about something else.

  16. I'd say it's a combination of the two. J.J. Reddick was ridiculous... then again, he got more open looks than he should've. I'd say it was mostly that Texas looked bad (The commentators shared that feeling), but that's not to say Duke didn't look great.
  17. Duke's looking good, but Texas is looking overrated. How the hell do you leave J.J. Reddick wide open?
  18. .Apparently, both teams agreed before the game that their would be no fouls called on Duke.
  19. 'Melo had 40 points, overshadowing D-Wade's 37, in a Nuggets win. Camby had 18 points, 12 rebounds, and 2 blocks. What's most impressive about Camby is that he scores without any real post-up game.
  20. I think that got Riverside messed up, as well.
  21. Ya never know with him.
  22. You, sir, are a liar. Yeah... you took one of the best basketball players in the world down to the wire in a game of 21
  23. Let's see, if you had a choice between a school like Duke where almost every game can be seen Nationally, or another big conference school where they have less than half as many televised games... where would you go? And, more importantly, where do you think the majority of High Schoolers would go?
  24. ... Hold on, I need to figure out where you're going with this concept... UConn has been overrated the last few years? They won the Championship the year before last... how can they be overrated? Even last year they lost two of the best players in the country and still managed to win the Big East. I guess the AP overrates them two when they get a good preseason ranking. Please. You cheer for the team that gets their ass kissed by the media. And again, i already I explained that by system, I meant the players around him. I say 'system' out of lack of a better term for it.
  25. Thank you for putting words in my mouth. I never said Coach K is a bad person. I never said he wasn't the greatest coach in college basketball history. I'm not saying Duke isn't a great program.. I'm not saying it's unfair that they're only great because they get All-Americans because that's obviously the goal in recruiting. Noticing a trend, here? I'm starting to question whether or not you even read what I've said or just skim over and come up with a stock reponse that has nothing to do with what I'm saying. My statement that Duke has more All-Americans than practically any other team was in response to you saying that not All-Americans go to Duke. Well, that much is obvious. Not saying they can turn nobodies into stars. You need talent -- J.J. has talent, I never said he doesn't. But when teams can't key in on you in nearly the same way as they can against Morrison and you're a good player, you're going to look very good. Once again, I never said Reddick isn't a good player, and I've never said that he hasn't improved. This all started because you used Morrison's lack of talent around him -- which makes no sense. Basketball is like football in that if you're a defensive coordinator, and you know a team can't pass the ball, you'll put 8 in the box. You key in on, and stop, their strength and make them beat you another way -- teams can't do that with Duke because of Williams, and the other talent. ... Calhoun built the UConn program from nothing. He's won 2 national championships -- the schools first 2 national championships. You can't do that if you can't recruit -- such an ignorant statement hardly even deserves a response. ESPN doesn't overrate UConn every year. The only year I can remember them picking UConn to win the National Championship was 2003-04, when they won it. And they're not on tv nearly as often as Duke -- not out here in Colorado, anyway. I'm sure it's different out there. I mean, the team that's around him. Sheldon Williams is a man that few players can cover one on one. You don't think that gives Reddick opportunities he otherwise wouldn't get? Open shots when the defense collapses on Williams? You don't think having Melchionni, who shot 40% from 3 last year makes it a little difficult for defense to collapse when Reddick drives? You use the lack of talent around Morrison against him? What the hell type of logic does that follow?
