    This guy is used to being a Carlos Zambrano type workhorse. I wonder if he actually IS that type of pitcher, or if he is just waiting to break down someday much too early.

    Dice is hitting 94 here in the 6th, 100+ pitches into the game. Are they going to take him out because they want to avoid pitcher abuse? If he's still cruising (despite that single) I'd keep him in.

    Dice is a Pimp. Maddux is whiny. The pitch was a ball, by about 3 inches. It was a BEAUTIFUL pitch, but it was a ball. Just accept it. Youkilis is a good hitter and he has probably gotten a close call like that against every good pitcher he's ever faced because he has a tremendous eye. Just shut up.

    If Dice-K always takes 70 pitches to start pitching like this then I can see why he has trained himself to throw 300 pitches at a time. I wish he could just stay in for 150 pitches...

    I have to say, Dice-K has the uncanny ability to throw a fastball at anywhere from 95 to 87, and they all look the same. Like there, he threw one at 88 and Branyon couldn' ttell what to do with it. 6 mph slower than the 94 he was hitting earlier in the evening. Very interesting.

    Nah, that pitch was 3 inches off the plate against Youkilis. Sorry Maddux. Youkilis deserves credit for his eye like you deserve it for your precision.

    What part of his offensive game do you think is too high right now? It seems to me like his OBP will be pretty consistent, and that the big change he has made is using his reputation/ability as a patient hitter to get in good counts and hit easy get-it-over pitches early in the count. When he gets his pitch he can hit it hard, like most decent MLB hitters.

    IS THERE SOME 'ACTION' PREMIUM I DIDN'T PAY WITH THE BASEBALL PACKAGE, THAT WOULD ALLOW ME TO ACTUALLY WATCH THE GAME AS IT HAPPENS, RATHER THAN ONLY GETTING THE BETWEEN-PITCH COMMENTARY AND FREEZES IN THE ACTION? HMMM
