  1. Google "train wreck" and skip all the clips of A-Rod batting with the bases loaded.
  2. Ryan Freel is awesome. Id love to have a guy like that who can play almost every position. Though Youk has potential.
  3. An error and a hit, and then Byrd gets three outs on three pitches. Imagine that inning without the baserunners.
  4. Gameday must be glitching on me. How do you call the infield fly rule on a flyout to left field?
  5. *stage whisper* SHHHHH, IM GIVING THE OPTIMIST SHREDS OF HOPE. Honestly theyll never be that good, but theyll be solid. Well, Melky and Phillips at least.
  6. Whatever it is, it isnt grass and it leads to throwing and fielding errors by otherwise solid defensive players. Baseball should be played on grass and nothing else.
  7. I just want to remind everyone that turf should be banned.
  8. Not to mention nine pitches.
  9. Actually...everyone in the lineup except Damon and A-Rod are. Whoa. EDIT: Nyet, Im not an expert on the Yankees farm system...is Phillips homegrown?
  10. So are the on-deck and in-the-hole hitters.
  11. Damn, I wish A-Rod was up now.
  12. but but but a-rod is teh clutch
  13. At least he didnt GIDP.
  14. Haha....A-Rod is so funny.
  15. Oh, and the hit he gave up was to Pokey Reese!
  16. Well, one of them was a pitcher...
  17. Two strikeouts for a guy who pitched for his first time is impressive...
  18. Yeah, so, when Im bored I randomly browse player info on MLB.com and see how many triples JD Drew has hit, how many homers Dontrelle Willis has, and the like. I happened to click on Loretta out of boredom when checking up on Vinny Chulk and they have an entry under pitching. Apparently in 2001, he pitched an inning for the Brewers, giving up one hit, issuing a walk and striking out two. Weird to imagine. http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/stats/mlb_individual_stats_player.jsp?playerID=117928 An article with pitch by pitch info: http://www2.jsonline.com/sports/brew/jun01/brewers21062001.asp
  19. Ive already reserved that word to refer to the bits of popsicle left on the stick when you've consumed most of it. :harhar:
