    How funny was that guy in the front row getting hit by the ball in the head while spilling his beer. Man that sucks - only good thing about it is that they gave him the ball afterwards. The ball looked like it deflected off the person who is supposed to stop those balls that go foul down the line.

    Manny is once again a beast - 2 more HR today to help carry the offense. This team looks scary right now

    yeah i cracked into the beer a couple mins early but come on the sox game is on. 9-3 now but its not schillings fault cause of the D they've had this inning. They said he has to go 5 innings for a win though - so far 94 pitches through 4. Personally I bring him in for the last inning to get the win but because this is only his second start maybe you want to baby him a little bit.

    schililng is up to 50 pitches so far through the second inning. thats not a good sign but he's held them scoreless.

    alright im calling it right now - at least 2 Marlin SP go down this year for a stint on the 15 Day DL. They are amazing right now but you honestly can't have them keep throwing CG's. They're very young and going to burn out - look at how Prior and Wood keep going down because Baker overuses them.

    I agree that he's going to be good but unfortunately for him he plays for TB and wont have that many wins this year. Hmm I wonder when Kazmir comes up for free agency. he must have a while till that hits - but he will still be pretty young and you know TB wont be able to pay him.

    actually i dont think the FO will trade hanley anytime soon. hes going to be phenominal and the only reason they would trade him would be for a young frontline starter. Sheets and Santana just signed extensions and I dont see the Cubs trading Prior. They should advance Hanley to AAA this year if he keeps it up. I agree he would be a great 2B next year- then let him take over at SS when Renteria's contract is up and bring up Pedroia.

    he wasnt that great tonight either. he walked the bases loaded - he was lucky to get out of that. he only pitched 5 innings and gave up 3 runs - 4 walks and 6 hits. hes a good prospect but lets not pretend this was a great outing

    isnt AJ Burnett a FA after this year? if he is then thats one way to get the rotation younger

    i really want the future middle infield to be Hanley at SS and Pedroia at 2B they should bring them up to AAA at the same time too to work together

    renteria is the man - he crushes leftys nice to get the first SWEEP of the year out of the way

    it was still too small of a sample size though - 9 innings? granted he was nasty but it still doesnt mean anything going into today

    i just dont see kazmir pitching that great tonight. so far this season his ERA is 4.5 - and i know its early but hes still not pitching that great yet. plus this offense is on fire right now - renteria mashes leftys

    i agree totally. look how baltimore played the yanks so far this series. the key will be beating batimore and toronto since the the sox and yanks will probably end up splitting.

    kazmir also hasnt been lighting it up yet - his era is like 4.50

    the Sox have always had a hard time with leftys in general because Ortiz and Nixon cant hit them for the most part. Although Ortiz has become pretty dangerous against anyone. But if they could hit 3 HR off the big Unit then I have faith in their abilities against Kazmir. I think they will hit him fine.

    any predictions on the final runs totals for each team this series. Right now after the 10-0 and 6-2 its a total of boston 16 TB 2. Im thinking 24 to 4 as a final tally. That will be a nice stat for Sportscenter to talk about. Now all we need is another good start from Wakebombs :thumbsup: . By the way Manny absolutely owned the starting pitcher last night - its good hes finally out of that slump

    Pedro probably does miss Boston a little - but right now the way hes pitching I miss him too. Pedro is still one of the best pitchers in the league and the best pitcher in Red Sox history.

    the last two games manny and ortiz hit grand slams so im pretty happy with the season so far - plus the first win streak of the season. just need to keep woopin the lesser teams in the east

    Just joined and wanted to say hi to everyone. Huge Sox fan obviously - since I just joined I had to honor Mannys two jacks last night with the name. Plus hes on my fantasy team so I am hero worshiping him right now. GO SOX
