  1. Yup. Since I was a kid. Was a Giants fan before I was a sox fan.
  2. Yeah, figures. With the way athletes are nowadays though I wouldn't be surprised if he did that, and more of them did. Nice avatar btw yankees228
  3. Gordon Ede's said this on Twitter. If he's right I guess that means Lee already chose who he's signing with, and if he's going to have a freakin TV special on it then it I have a bad feeling.
  4. Well it's been documented that Hitler was very nice to people he met. Supposedly he would walk down the street and hand out food to young poor children and s*** like that. But not if you were a jew or anything else not agreeing with his aryan views. Just like Yawkey migh of been a nice giving man, unless your skin was dark. But this is stupid and I'm not gonna engage in a conversation about racists on a baseball board.
  5. Thanks a lot. Glad to see you're still here
  6. Yes because I said us fans know what to do a lot better than the front office would. Stating a f***ing opinion doesn't mean I think fans could run this team any better, or that I can. What the f***. God forbid I disagree with how s*** gets handled and state my opinion on the matter rather than just kiss the front office's ass in every post because obviously they are more qualified than me to run a team. They are and I respect them for it, but doesn't mean I have to agree with everything that is done.
  7. Is this a legit question? Come on man. Without fans these organizations aren't s***. Without us fans to buy tickets, beer at the games, jersey's, and everything else these f***ing clubs would all fold into nothing. We don't watch this team for our f***ing health. We put blood, sweat, tears, and money into being a fan, and it's ******** if we don't get the same in return. I'm fine with transitional years and all that but after a while we do deserve to see the team put some effort into improving themselves. I'll be damned if we have to spend more years going out getting player's at the tail end of their careers instead of locking up younger talent for years to come. The front office needs to spend money to make money. They need to take risks. If it turns out there is concern about his arm/health then fine, I can see not offering a large contract, but offering a 28 year old a contract until he's only 33 is pointless. How fair can he tail off by 36? Even if he starts going downhill by 34 so what, that's 2 years of decline and he's gone. Younger talent will be waiting by then. And even if he puts up current David Ortiz numbers by that age it'd be fine with me. Unless there is a legitimate health risk then botching this trade so far has been ridiculous and makes the front office look bad. edit: herp derp, deal is apparently done. I resurrected myself and bitched for nothing. damn.
  8. Papelbon is f***ing garbage. Overrated from the f***ing beginning. Francona is joke of a manager, regardless of his winning percentage here and winning 2 world series. A down syndrome kid with a lobotomy could of produced the same results with the teams we had. Bard should be the closer.
  9. What is it, May? Come on.
  10. Oh look Drew is out of the lineup for the 100th time this season with a hamstring strain. How long before he gets scrutinized and eventually traded for an overrated hitter?
  11. Oh well. They better still be willing to make trades/get free agents next year. With the outrageous ticket prices and all the other ridiculous crap they do to earn money the luxury tax better not be an issue.
  12. Yeah, the problems with Hanley are obvious, but he's still a damn good player and I'd rather have him here at SS then anyone we've had recently. When it comes down to it who gives a f*** how he acts? It's about how he produces, and he produces well. Either way I think talking s*** to the media and not straight up saying what your problem is with someone is pretty lame, regardless if it's well known about that other person's actions.
  13. lol, If he can't even give a reason for not liking Hanley then he shouldn't say anything in my opinion. Have some balls and say what your problem is.
  14. Why all the hate for the home run derby and all star game? It's a fun time. A break for the players and a fun chance for fans to see all the players you normally wouldn't see. Can there be at least a couple days in the course of a season where people don't sit around finding fault aand deep meaning in everything and being miserable?
  15. This will look great when we lose the next 2 games in this series by 1 or 2 runs
  16. Kevin Cash? wat. When did he come back?
  17. Glad to hear his recovery is coming along well. It would be so awesome if he ends up able to play.
  18. goddamn, 2 outs. Mike Lowell better improve his trade value right here.
  19. Oh really? I'm pretty sure everyone was thinking you had to go inside the museum and pay to take a look at a mickey mouse statue that's outside. Whoever wrote this must be smoking the finest quality Cali Medicinal Herb. yeszir, that quote sort of answers your question. They placed a bunch of mickey mouse statues with all the mlb teams logos on it and had a contest where whoever took a picture with each of them and uploaded it first they would get all star game tickets.
  20. Even though he didn't supposedly hustle enough and had a bit of an attitude problem does not diminish the fact he was one of the best players the organization ever had. Booing him would be downright stupid.
  21. He better not get Booed when he is introduced. But seeing as how a lot of people eat the s*** that the media spoon feeds them I wouldn't be surprised.
  22. "The great thing about being a general manager isn't ruining the red sox postseason chances, it's showing everyone online that I did." Sorry, that randomly reminded me of some stupid internet meme
  23. I hate these pregame ceremonies. Every Sunday with this s***. I remember when these games started at 1, not 1:30. Before long we are gonna have ceremonies for every person in this state that joined the military, had even 1 cancer cell in their body, and every kid who got above a D in school. Play the friggin game already
