    You've got to be kidding. I understand you don't like Salty, and he is underperforming, but don't be stupid. Having Posada as a catcher would be even worse than Salty. We already have Varitek who is old and can barely do anything, why have a 2nd 40 year old catcher who can do even less? If you think Salty can't throw anyone out, Posada only threw out 13 base stealers in 85 attempts... in 80 games. That's ridiculous. Other than those 6 random homers he'd be hitting worse than Salty is now. Hell, the Yankees took a chance on a catcher with leg problems who had operations over having Posada even be a part time catcher. Lucky for the Yankees that worked out for them. Signing a washed up catcher who can't even DH to split time at catcher is one of the dumbest suggestions I've seen on this site
